**Update** The Insanity program is working wonderfully on this mat. No knee or ankle pain. I'm very impressed with how much of a difference this mat makes. I put it right over the top of the concrete floor in the garage. I see no need for any additional padding underneath. I'm doing other plyo and core routines and it works well. My daughter has used it for her crossfit workouts when she's home on random weekends from college. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase.**Original review**I was looking for a good mat to put over concrete garage floors so I can do Insanity and P90x etc. it was between this may and the Pogamat. Both fit the bill for what I was looking for. Designed for lateral moves and plyometrics, doesn't stink, made by a small co many with a reputation for service. In the end this mat won out for its size.It's perfect and exactly as described. Rolled out flat quickly and best of all there is zero smell. My lungs don't need all of this harmful chemicals. It feels great right over the garage concrete floor. Will update the review after the full 9week Insanity program. So far I'm very pleased!

Bought this for my home gym and it is PERFECT on my cement floor!! I do barre classes and this is just what I wanted: Lays flat, doesn't shift, just enough dense cushioning on my garage floor but not too squishy. It has a bit of slip on the surface at first, but after a couple of wipe-downs it now has the perfect grip for yoga and the like. My husband loves it as well for his cardio and weight training. It arrived with no off-gassing smell and laid flat immediately. Seems very sturdy and I feel it will hold up well to years of use!! Oh, and very easy to clean. I compared many matts and am so happy with my choice!!

This mat is perfect! We are Beachbody coaches and workout in our home daily. We have had the workout mats from Costco that fit together like puzzle pieces and always end up replacing them, sliding on them, pulling them apart when doing cardio routines, and our dogs have been known to chew on the pieces as well! We finally threw those away and decided to try this mat out. So glad we did! It has been amazing. It doesn't slip at all on our hardwood floor. It's easy to roll right up if we need to get it out of the way or move it to another location. It has been super easy to clean-vacuum off, then use a mild soap (or we use Norwex towels and hot water). It gives enough support for hard insanity workouts and enough room for 2 of us to workout together. It does get a bit slippery when sweaty(as does any surface), so we put a towel or yoga mat down if we need to do planks near the end of a workout. We move every few years and I'm glad we finally found a mat we can take with us! We will probably be buying another one to add to the space we have as well. Very happy with this mat!

I didn't originally buy this mat. I bought a mat through a different company that had a few thousand highly rated reviews and when I received it, I decided it was just a little too small for 2 people at 8'x6'. I purchased the next size up through prime and it said it would be here in the normal 2-3 days. After the 4th day, they had pushed out delivery by 3 weeks! So I got back on amazon and searched for comparable items. This mat came up, with not too many reviews, so I was skeptical. However, this mat DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! It was actually a little easier on the joints than the previous one. It doesn't slide around. It looks nice. This mat was the same thickness and size, but it was also $50 cheaper! I was so impressed. Now that my sister and I have been using it every day for 6 weeks or so to do HIIT workouts with our tennis shoes, I can definitely attest to its durability. This mat is perfect! Good work by the company! Very pleased. Would definitely recommend. :)

I rarely ever leave reviews but felt I had to with this product. This mat is everything I hoped it would be and more. It is absolutely perfect. It works great for all of my workouts.I love everything about it. Even the satisfying "thud" sound it makes when dropping my dumbbells on it. I do recommend gloves though especially if you're doing floor workouts and you sweat like I do! I found out the hard way that this mat is very slippery when wet on bare hands. But it's still great and I actually look forward to my workouts now just so I can lay in a pool of my own sweat on this comfy mat when I'm done. Not slippery with shoes though at all. I can't recommend it enough. I have it laying straight on a concrete floor in my garage with no additional padding and it's perfectly fine. I am looking at buying another one of these to expand my gym and replacing some other inferior mats that I bought previously. You won't be disappointed with this purchase. I would definitely recommend this mat to anyone.

Great mat for our home gym! It stays in place, is soft enough on knees and doing ab work, but provides enough support for cardio and plyometrics. Quality material, sturdy to support gym equipment without tearing the mat. Easy to roll up and put away. Removing a star because I purchased to use with 80 day obsession sliders and unfortunately they do not slide that well on the mat. Hoping that overtime it will become more slick as the sticky chemical wears off the mat. Great size for our space. Can easily roll it up and store it away if necessary. Price was right and fast shipping! Highly recommend!

This is just what I was looking for. I have a bench on a quarter of the mat, and I am using the rest of the mat for exercising on. I was torn between Square36's equipment mat and this fitness mat. . . I am so glad I followed Tasha from Square36's advice and purchased this mat (I was ready to go with the equipment mat based on their descriptions). This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. It is a high quality fitness mat that can handle equipment while being comfortable to exercise on, AND it works well on carpet without slipping all over the place.

The mat is fantastic. It was exactly what we were looking for to put in our home gym area. It’s comfortable, durable and a perfect fit for the room!

I rarely review but I do actually love this mat. I've been using high density foam 2x2 puzzle tiles previously and although those provide some impact relief they push and pull and slide and seperate way too much for yoga, or, for what I am doing, p90x and p90x2.So, I tried ordering one of these 10x6'ers. These give more barefoot grip and less slide on a laminate floor than anything else I've tried. To note, these are shoe grade and so far quite durable with no sign of wear with the 2 dogs who scramble around on it so far. (75lbs boxer being the heavier hitter). Once i toss a yoga mat on top, it also grips great and gives great cushioning for ab/core floor work... although the gushyness on these is actually really good. Unless I am doing a full 90 minute yoga workout I will mostly just skip the yoga mat.After 2 weeks of the one mat I ordered a second. Having a 10x12 workout floor space for p90 stuff and plyocide/plyometrics makes these workouts not only more fun/less frustrating but also more doeable. Losing grip on the intense stuff can make some moves either dangerous or impossible. So yah, a bit expensive, but completely transformed the quality of my workout space.

I love this mat, it’s perfect to lay on my back deck when I do my workouts, and then roll up again and prop it out of the way. It doesn’t slip at all regardless of the extent of me jumping around (which was my most important criteria) and provides enough padding for the knees etc when working out on the floor. The only thing that would’ve been even more perfect was if it was a size somewhere in between the width/length and square rather than rectangular. Where workouts need as much backward/forward and side to side movement I just offset it a bit at an angle from the TV screen (source of my workouts) so I can better utilize the awesome length and sometimes only just wide enough width (does that even make sense? I hope it does!) Great quality product, no hesitations in recommending at all!

No regrets ! I wanted an exercise mat for my home training and i found this one. The thickness was perfect and quality amazing for the price. It motivates me to do more workouts. I am really satisfied!

The mat works great and is exactly what we were looking for. The only drawback is we our dog walk on it after being outside and it was hard to get the dusty pawprints off.

I was expect just a large yoga type mat, this mat is of much more durable construction and we are using it in our garage as a home gym. Very impressed!
