I bought 2 sizes just in case but I kept the Large one, which was actually the one recommended for my neighbours dog measurements. So yes, true to size.I haven't commented on water resistant yet, as I haven't used it on the rain, but the material is great, really well made and it seems warm but breathable.I really like it and I would recommend it.Thank you.

Perfect size for my cavapoo. We got the XL at first but it was too big. Seller exchanged for L free of charge and now fits like a dream. Keeps her dry and mud free so I just need to wash her feet and chin after a muddy walk. The zip has a fold of fabric to protect hair from getting caught. Lightweight enough so she won't get hot but warm enough to provide a wind break. Very lovely colour and feel. Has a hole for the harness loop to come through and the neck is risen slightly to provide extra windbreak/warm protection around her neck and this is adjustable with toggles. Also have washed in washing machine and it still comes up lovely and dries super quick. Would definitely recommend!

Absolute pain in the bum for a nervous dog. Took me ages to get it on her plus you need a harness underneath to attach a lead to. Not worth the money either

It does not have a clip harness on it to walk your dog nor does it prevent the dog from getting wet

Used today very light rain but he was soaked , more than usual because rain came right through top and bottom and because it came through coat it soaked into my dog !Absolute rubbish and waste of £40

The coat itself is amazing. Fantastic fit and well made but NOT water resistant as described.Had a little walk today just on the paths. The ground was wet. No mud, or long grass. Got home and my dog was soaked all under his belly and legs. Also the little bit of drizzle we had had come through the top of the coat and his back was wet.Would be ok to keep a dog warm if it’s dry out but slight bit of rain and dog would be wet inside. Gutted to send it back as it really is a lovely coat.

It the best one we have, and I checked a lot of other brands!! It’s a bit to the big size, so I had to change the size, but now it’s perfect!!!It’s warm, it protect from water (2 of other rain coat doesn’t), and it doesn’t go off, even when she is riding like an horse!So good and beautiful, so I bought one to her brother.
