Great Replacement Fob Body
Great replacement! Cracked open with a flat head and swapped my old board. Sides seem to be metal, which is nice. Just found a vid showing hope to open. Took about 15min.

Transfer circuit board over
Used for 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.Transferred the circuit board over with battery from old key fob, did not have to get programmed.

Looks Nice and Affortable
My 2016 Silverado FOB started to develop wrinkles on the face plate and the markings were disappearing. It looked like an old prune. So I ordered a replacement which didn't cost me an arm and leg if I had purchased one through the local dealership plus the cost of programming and any other hidden cost. The problem I ran into was trying to program the FOB manually without a programmer (which cost an additional $60-100 if I had bought one). I tried three different methods as suggested, but to no avail. So I finally gave up and took the FOB apart and replaced the board (mother board?). IT WORKED as if it was the original FOB and I saved myself a bundle of money by purchasing the FOB through Amazon. This is not to say my final solution is the right one, but other vehicles' FOB will work as suggested through various internet help videos or through the purchase of a programmer. I am going to purchase another FOB via Amazon since my other original FOB (spare) is slowing deteriorating.

UPDATE—Just not compatible
UPDATE: So I finally gave up and was about to return it, decided to just transfer my old fob board to the replacement fob and it works just fine. Taking the silver side pieces off was a challenge and I managed not to break them Or the housing small pieces. Not changing my star rating because packing wasn’t good ands no instructions. Had to really YouTube it.Although my vehicle was shown to be compatible with this key fob it did not work. We followed the instructions and nothing. I did not need to have the dealer program the fob. It came with the website on the package and they put tape over the website! Go figure! I will be returning this key fob and this is my real experience with this product and I’m very savvy with technology and equipment, just didn’t connect and no real information available from the seller I had to google what I needed too.

Works great
You need the obd2 port installer to install the keyfob yourself. From time I opened the other package to having both keyfobs programmed took less than 5 minutes. Much cheaper to buy the obd2 port and do yourself than to get a locksmith to do it or get a dealership to do it. Very happy with the items.

Key fob
The website on the package where it tells you to go to program your new key fob don’t really work. So I ended up just taking someone else’s advice in the reviews on taking electronic piece out of the key fob and putting it into the new one pretty easy to take apart, but that’s the only way I could figure out how to use the new one. Other than that feels great looks nice. Just can’t seem to figure out how to program the new one.
