I have used this for over 5 years for my 3 oldest children. My two oldest used to have seasonal allergies from October to April and were constantly plagued with upper respiratory infections and bronchitis. Since I started using Sambucus, they have had no uri's or bronchitis. The only major illness any of them had was the year the H1N1 flu was a big concern. One child tested positive for the flu, but it still was very mild and after a week was back to her usual self, without needing to take Tamiflu. None of my other children have had the flu. This year the flu was very bad at my inlaws' church, where my three children were all in the Christmas play. Two of the children with my youngest daughter were sick and ended up testing positive for flu. (I didn't know about this until the day before the play, which was a week later.) My daughter and her siblings never got sick, though she was being carried around by them and holding hands with them.This works best on helping or preventing viral infections, but if you recover faster from a viral infection, it lowers the chances that the infection will become bacterial. I also love that this brand only requires a 1 tsp dose, compared to Nature's Way that requires a 2 tsp. dose. They are about the same price and the same amount, but the dosage difference means you get twice as many doses!

We give it both our little girls (5 and 2 years) daily. Since we started giving it, neither girl has had long bouts of cold or cough! Even if they catch cold once in a while, its gone within a day or two! Amazing stuff.

Using this with Planetary Herbals Jade Screen Astragalus for my daughter in winter to prevent colds. It works.It's tasty and easy to use. Been giving it to her since she was 2 years old.

in the past i have purchased this product at my local health food store for double the price of what I spent from Amazon. My children love this product because it taste great to them. It really helps during the winter months to boost their immune systems.

i keep this stuff stocked in my house and auto subscribe. i've been using elderberry for the past 2 years and have recommended it to everyone i know, it definitely works!whenever my kids start sneezing, have a sore throat or a runny nose i start a dose immediately. elderberry will either prevent my kids from getting sick or shorten the duration and intensity. my daughter was out sick from school one time last year and i attribute it to the use of elderberry. in addition, if one kid gets sick i start giving the other kid 1 dose concurrently and that usually prevents a family outbreak. my hubby and i both take the adult version and are just as pleased with the results.when my newborn baby arrives i will start giving my kids 1 dose a day for good measure.

Nature’s Way liquid is much better. This brand is very runny and overly sweet. Wouldn’t recommend.

There are not enough words to how much I love this product for my toddler. Each time she is starting to get a cold I immediately start giving this to her along with a few other vitamins and the cold is gone usually within 24 hours. Longest she has been sick with a cold is 3 days but normally it's 24 hrs or less. Amazing stuff to give in times of illness or if the potential is there after being around someone sick.

It does what it says, but it is horribly thick and the agave flavor is very present and for my kids and myself that flavor was unpleasant.
