Pierogy Maker 14 Big Pierogi Mold Vareniki

First time was tricky but I got the hang of it. I only wish they made bigger dumplings and perogi. Trick too is make the dough thinner. Mine came and rocked a little. It didn't want to stay even so I got some of those sticky felt tiny pads, they worked.

This makes it easier and faster to do a big batch of pierogi - but I use it for the more intense flavored ones - I find it small for the main course pierogi. Cuts all the shapes and makes the pockets easily - but no matter WHAT you use, you still need to finger-crimp, to be safe. Hint - place first sheet of dough, fill pockets, and before you place the other sheet on top - LIGHTLY spritz with water, for a better seal. I tried using a pastry brush - but a light hand with the spritzer worked just fine. If this company made a BIG PIEROGI form - maybe four in a circle this same size (good size to pick up the rolled sheet of dough!) - I would get it!!!

Works great!Hints: 1. Line it with a piece of plastic film to get the perogies to fall out easier. Don't bother with flour.2. When joining the top and bottom dough sheets don't use a large rolling pin. That could push the filling out of place. Instead gently press down along the joints with your palm. When the shapes of the perogies start to appear roll just through the joints with a small cylindrical jar, such as a spice jar. Gradually increase the pressure until you are able to cut the joints. Pull away excess dough and turn out perogies onto a floured surface. Press together any joints that look loose with the top edge of a tabe knife.Takes a little practice but its so much easier than hand rolling them.

This Pierogy mold makes pierogies that are smaller than normal. Also, there isn’t a big or normal frame around the pierogies where you would press around them to make sure they are sealed so they were hard to seal. The item was shipped promptly and is of quality.

This pierogy maker does not yield big pierogies like it says. I found this mold not useful or as easy as other molds I have used. The shape of the pierogies are a little different than traditional pierogies.

Very durable and easy to use. Have made pierogi for over 60 years ( the old fashion way), and added this product... faster , easier and more pierogi!

I love how sturdy this Pirogi maker is and it will make quick work of a batch

I would not order this, or recommend it to anyone.However, in all fairness, I'm just learning to make perogies.This is not for me.Thank you!
