Always very nice produce

I am not a fan of Avocado at all but my grandmother LOVES them. She eats them every day for lunch with eggs. The problem is sometimes she doesn't wrap what she does not use up very good and it goes bad. I just ordered a new fridge so I thought I would look to see if I could find new food containers to keep things fresh and keep my fridge looking spotless. That's when I came across this. It's been perfect she has been using it and no my complaining about not so fresh Avocado. The only issue I have noticed is she will sometimes fumble getting the Avocado out. The plastic is solid and it seals perfectly but it needs a small lip so she can grab ahold of better. Besides that its great.

This is a perfectly ripe avocado after 2 days in the container, kept in the fridge. It’s not perfectly green on the top layer (just a couple of browned veins on the surface, and the crack is because I press down on it to create a seal that locks out the oxygen), but the taste and texture is identical to the day I cut into it. After a few trials and errors, I got this to work as well as, if not slightly better than, plastic wrap (and thus reducing the waste of plastic wrap and time trying to get it flat against the surface of the avocado).At first I was disappointed in the size (I thought the pit should stay in), thinking the container held the key to a new way to keep it fresh. Nope, it’s simply locking out oxygen.So if you don’t mind cutting off a small amount of plastic wrap and working to adhere it around the pit and on the cut part, then do your thing. For me, it’s faster and easier to put it in here, push down on the avocado a little to create the seal, attach the lid, then pop it in the fridge. Now less plastic waste too. Thumbs up.(Only complaint is that the company doesn’t include some direction that conveys these nuances that make it effective)

Love the design except it's hard to open! Would suggest an indentation to help open it....

Keeps my avocado fresh for more then a week this product work’s amazing I’m going to order more for the family

I'm comparing the usefulness of this gizmo to a cellophane zip-lock bag, and it doesn't come out very well. It takes up drawer space and shelf space in both cabinets (when clean) and the fridge (when it has an avo in it). To its credit, it is shaped well. Beyond that, I'm not a fan. A cellphone bag will show you what's inside and is flexible enough to be stashed anywhere inside the refrigerator. This little box can easily be opened by pressure on it from other things inside. It's cute, but it doesn't keep the avo from turning brown. I'm not sure why I kinda like it. Maybe because it's like those onions that are meant to store cut onions, and other products conceived in a similar vein. Totally unnecessary and a waste of money, but not harmful, at least.

I got this because I eat half an avocado every day and I felt wasteful using a new plastic baggie each time. This doesn't work any better or worse than a plastic bag but it is environmentally friendly! Any avocado storage device, unless it removes air from the container, will not prevent your avocado from turning brown. Half of an avocado in a storage container is good for about 24 hours, when I take it out the next day I scrape the light layer of brown off and then eat it. If I don't plan on using the other half within 24 hours, I cut it up and put it in the freezer.You're just not going to find a magical device that keeps an avocado green for multiple days, so don't buy any product that promises that to you. For best results- keep the pit in, add a little lemon juice, store in something small. This product works great if you have realistic expectations for your avocados!

I've been using clear wrap for my avocados and they still got really brown. I thought well let's give this a try and thank goodness i did. As others have said it doesn't close because of the pit but i take it out any my avocado is still fresh and i didn't even have to scape any brown off of it

I have had this product for years now and it's still in great condition and does its job perfectly! It's super cute but also serves its purpose and stores avocadoes very well.

Produto é de boa qualidade, porém o tamamho é muito pequeno para acondicionar abacate, seria mais adequado para avovado.Abacate não comporta....

Der Behälter ist praktisch und leicht zu reinigen.Einen Stern Abzug gibt es allerdings dafür, dass wirklich nur eine Hälfte einer längs (Ich habe es vorher gern anders gemacht) halbierten Avocado hineinpasst.Hat man sich zum Beispiel nur ein bisschen für zB ein Brot rausgelöffelt passt sie nicht mit der 2. Hälfte inkl Kern hinein (für alle die es nicht wissen kleiner Tipp: Kern immer beim Rest lassen, dann wird sie nicht so schnell braun und hält einige Tage im Kühlschrank!)Aus Mangel an Alternativen zu diesem Zeitpunkt hab ich sie behalten und bin eben soweit zufrieden.Ich hoffe das hilft euch bei der Entscheidung :)
