Is there any hidden cost..monthly charges?

I have three Niimbot printers and I’ve never had to pay to use the app or even create a free account. And no, I don’t just have “caveman level” features. That’s a very disingenuous assessment. The only limitations I’ve encountered in my daily use are that there are a few “VIP” fonts (but lots of free ones to choose from) and that you need to create an account to save label designs but I’ve personally never needed to do that, even running a small business. All editing, alignment, and formatting tools are free and easy to use. Of all the other features — like adding barcodes, QR codes, lines, drawing elements, shapes, icons, frames, tables, serial numbers, pre-formatted drop-in date and time stamps — the only things requiring a “VIP” account are the ability to import Excel data, real-time time stamps, and image recognition. A small number of frames and icons are “VIP” only like some of the fonts, but again, it’s a small number of them out of hundreds. (Find frames under icons > wireframes.) In addition to Niimbot, I’ve had several thermal label printers from other brands and all of them have quirky apps with a learning curve, and some actually do lack usable features. Niimbot’s app is the best one I’ve used and is the main reason I’ve got three Niimbot printers now and rarely ever use anything else. I hope this added information and context help clear up any confusion.

can it be connected to an ipad pro ? like if i draw something on my pro can i print it out as a sticker with this?

Yes, you can. You can download the NIIMBOT APP on pad. Then test the print range, preferably by purchasing a large label paper.

How does this work without ink?

How do the labels hold up on clothing especially after laundering numerous times? I have to label my moms clothing in a rest home.

haven't tried they might hold but i doubt it. its just a sticker if it gets mixed in with soap its going come off. for cloths going into the washing machine you prob should use a tagging gun with a plastic tag. or use some color strings and tie it to the top of the tag. or take some cloths pins and clip it on your moms clothes.
