My grandson picked this out because he’s had other toys from this brand. He just loves it.

These looked super fun, and my four-year-old thought they were great. Then, after about 10 minutes he was so frustrated because they kept falling apart. He couldn’t build anything and keep it together long enough to play with it. The magnets are decent, but I would say these are more for age 8+. Small hands just can’t hold it together well enough with the strength of these magnets.

Love this brand and this set! Fun for multiple ages!

We really wanted to love these. It’s a really cool idea and the robots are fun, however, the magnets used to hold everything together are just not strong enough. Everything my son tries to create just falls apart. Definitely should look into different connectors.

These building blocks are a proper exercise for frustration tolerance and patience for young kiddos! The box has enough pieces for one kiddo to choose and build a model from the array. The parts are connected by magnets, which throws a curve ball into the rote motions of building. The kiddos must manipulate the pieces to make them touch or scrap their original idea since the magnets will make it impossible to build. The building blocks also come with a large poster (which is excellent) that has different models. Because the pictures are large, you don't need additional instructions- the kiddos could imitate the models.

This is an awesome mix-and-match set of magnetic pieces that go together to form all sorts of fun robotic creatures. This set comes with 20 pieces and in those pieces you get expanding bits (which are fun as arms, legs, or just supports), eyeballs, propellers, wheels, and differently shaped platforms. With those options, you can make robots that are flying, rolling, standing, sitting, whatever you desire! My five year old squealed with joy while opening this box and proceeded to play with it making lots of fun creatures. Also, in reading the other reviews, some people were commenting on the magnet strength not being good enough - but in comparing this set with a different, much smaller set, that we own - this set is much stronger (and bonus the two sets work together to create even more possibilities). We don't have any issues with the magnet strength compromising the fun, creativity, or play time.
