Pure Pioneer Heaven
This receiver exceeds what I expected. The one thing as a Pioneer so I really shouldn't be surprised. I have 2 Pioneer receivers at home that produce incredible sound. Crisp clear highs and thumping deep bass.Yes this receiver does have an equalizer, it has other functions that allows you to create the perfect song that you want that go beyond the equalizer. As you know it's the speakers that make the receiver. after putting this receiver in my truck I had no idea what my speakers were capable of. I bought a digital Subwoofer to go with this receiver. the bass is so deep in my truck right now I don't even need a subwoofer. I am beyond happy.I love how my phone connects to this thing too. Bluetooth is a beautiful thing and some Bluetooth devices connect quicker and better than others. This receiver is perfect. All of its features and functions and the things that it's capable of doing I got this for a great price on Amazon. Now after all that preys one thing I do want to say is, the dimension of the receiver is a little bit bigger than the original equipment that was in my vehicle. had a hell of a time installing it getting it to fit with all the wiring in the harnesses and all that stuff. Your vehicle obviously may be different but with my experience it was a tight fit. Now that it is installed Lovin life in my truck! I've always been a big fan of pioneer I love the Thumping deep bass Pioneer products produce.

Buy one
While I don't use the radio, and rarely the video, the USB music quality makes it a really good value. The touch response is a bit slow, but there sound quality makes up for itAddition... I've had this for a while now. The sound quality is pretty darn good, and the sound processing built in is really good. It is surprisingly loud - I keep meaning to order and amp for it but then I don't bother. I recommend very good speakers, the best you can afford, I had kickers and replaced them with infinity's and it was worth the ugrade. The DVD works fine, but I don't use it much. The buttons are a little quirky - it is hard to go back a few songs, and sometimes when you ff to the next song the display turns off instead. All things considered, for the money it is a really good value. So I got a second one for my wife. We had an older alpine with Infinity coaxes in the back, and Morel Tempo two-ways in the front. With this speaker setup the radio (usb stick) really sounds great. Looks like I'll be ordering another set of Morels! Don't tell my wife...lol.

Reliability
This has been a great and reliable headunit for me over the years. I bought it when it was $400 and I’m not sure it would be worth that now but I can’t see the price reviewing this thing. I have pros and cons about this headunitPros:ReliablePlenty of options for customizationThe rainbow light setup was coolButtons on the headunit. You won’t find many of these anymore and I hate the unresponsive touchscreens. Can’t find a headunit with a volume knob on it anymoreGreat sound output compared to an oem headunitInstallation was standardWorks great with amplifierBluetooth compatibilityCons:The screen was responsive to my gestures maybe 60% of the time. You have to press really hard as the screen has like a piece of film that you cannot remove.Brightness: as a biproduct of the film, the screen was fairly not that bright in the daytime because of the glare on the film.DVD player: why in the world would anybody watch a movie on their headunit? It’s 2025. Get a $25 tablet from Walmart, or a dvd drive to plug into your computer or laptop. Seriously it wasn’t a useful feature worth paying for but honestly I paid the extra buck for the dvd player. Not to mention the sound was delayed which made watching anything unbearable. No CarPlay or android autoOverall: if you plan on using this for dvd stuff I’d just say nah find a better one. The Bluetooth and music is all I care about anyway. It did those functions amazing.

It works and replaces the unit that came with the vehicle.
Purchased this replacement because my old same model kept going blank and displaying an error code. I selected this unit as I had no idea what the wiring would require going to a different brand and model. So far I have no issues and everything seems to work. My biggest problem was the plastic basel that was on the old unit screw tabs someone had ripped them up over tighten and would not hold the new unit in. Had to make some metal clips to install in the metal dash. I should have bought a new plastic bracket, but made due with old one. I just hope this unit doesn't die like the old one. This should not have happened Pioneer! as this is in an RV used 11 times a year for the past 4 years. This is a lot of money to replace a unit that should not have failed so soon.

STILL Im very pleased (even nearly a year later)
Color me pleased. I got this to replace my aging rockford factory head unit (old one would not play discs and kept cutting out on even radio). I wasnt expecting much for the most part just wanted something to play good music and sound decent. This thing sounds amazing once you get it set up and learn all the functions it has. It is very easy to use once you watch a couple vids on line - the book is kind of crap outside of initial setup, but once you get used to the way the screen lay out is and logic its easy to get the rest handled. I had to pair this with a MITO-1 interface for the Eclipse. but the color code for the radio and the MITO-1 were very well written and able to be spliced together easy enough. Now that it is set up the power output on the RCA's and the rest of the unit is quite impressive. It breathed new life into the factory 650 watt amp and I actually was able to upgrade my sub to a more efficient brand with this and sounds amazing.USB input is nice at up to 32GB of music. Blue tooth pairing is nice and loud and clear. Individual speaker volume support is an added bonus. All in all this is a dam good buy and would do so again in a heart beat.
