Wonderful
I was intrigued with Mother Wadsworth Etters story but I wished the entire book was about her.

Pentecostal lady minister
A well written story about this pioneer of the faith. It was very informative and told not only the good side of this Christian woman but some of her flaws too. I really enjoyed this glimpse of church history. I felt this book was well balanced. Pick up a copy today.

A truly rich resource and a keeper
I have found this a truly inspirational book with material that you will not find easily elsewhere. A reasonably large section of the book is newspaper articles, letters, testimonies etc written about her ministry which gives an insight into her habits, secular opinion of the revivals, reactions to the incredible miracles and unusual outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and the difficulty she so stalwartly endured and prevailed over. I have read her own account of her life and teachings before, which are very inspiring (these are also included in this book) but the external views and first hand witness and testimony of others included, makes this book different and a rich resource for anyone hungry for God and His manifestation in their lives and the lives of this generation. The book is also very elegant, sturdy and a keeper for life. A true resource in my library.

Excellent bio on relatively unknown charismatic healer.
I like all of Liarden's work-short bio sketches, full biographies, historical compilations. His commentary adds perspective.

inspirational reading
I have known of Maria Woodworth-Etter's miracle ministry in an era when the Pentecostal movement hadn't taken place yet. This book, along with her personal autobiographical writings, will inspire those who believe in the present-day move of the Holy Spirit to seek a more intimate relationship with the Lord and to become channels of His grace and His glory in a world of increasing spiritual darkness.

Excellent work on the sermons of Maria Woodworth - Etter.
An excellent book containing the earnest and compelling sermons of one of God's generals of the faith. It was a rare thing, in those days for a woman to have such a high profile in the church and healing and salvation ministry. Quite simply, she said yes and was willing and totally sold out to the message of Christ crucified for our sins, sickness and diseases. He sees neither male nor female, only submission to his great commission! She was used mightily, well into old age and glory will reveal the manifold works of the Holy Spirit via her willing hands.Another excellent book, painstakingly put together by brother Roberts Liardon, who has made it his life's work to catalogue and write about the lives of multiple greats in the faith ministries, after having had a very deep and personal encounter with Jesus in heaven himself,as a child. I recommend that book of his testimony too.

a detailed and facinating view of a woman of God
In this book, you can find what Maria Woodworth Etter taught. emcompassing more than just her teaching, this book is also an account of the early days of the pentecostal movement.readers reading this book will be amazed at the outpouring of the Spirit of God at that time, and how a woman, even when she is in her 40s can be used greatly.Roberts Liardon has always been a detailed church historian, especially in the matter of church history since the last 2 centuries. This book is another excellent work from him.
