The Nice Mice in the Rice: A Long Vowel Sounds Book (Sounds Like Reading ®)

I teach kindergarten and my students really enjoy reading this series.

I use the sentences from each of the eight books in this series in my RTI Reading class as well as for typing fluency in my Computer Literacy classes. The students enjoy seeing the pictures which motivates them to keep typing. The books came out of the paper padded mailer with the corners of the books bent due to handling while being shipped. I was very excited to purchase these books in a format that I can afford on a teacher’s salary but, very disappointed that they arrived in a “used (like new)” condition although I bought them at the “new” condition price. I have had no problems with books coming in boxes.

my kids liked the book so much I got all eight of them they're cute and colorful fun to read its good practice for learning similar sounds I truly recommend this weather the child is having a hard time reading or a good reader still a good book for practice I have a child with adhd and one who is gifted and both loved this book and read it over and over and understood the related sound

Used with young readers to support phonic patterns. Great, silly ways of looking at rhyming words. The list allows for illustrated practice of individual words, then on the following pages, they use the rhyming words in a sentence for further practice.

Great for learning to read, either English as a second language, or emergent readers

Colorful illustrations enhance the practice with long vowel words in sentences.

My granddaughter is learning to read and loves this book.

it turns out what some might see as an introduction, he has picked up, on his own time, to secretly review on the couch. The pictures engage him. I'm getting more of the series.
