Birds Choice Protective Hanging Dome - Clear

Purchased to keep the rain and snow off of a hummingbird feeder, so the birds can get a break from the weather when they drink. It’s installed on a patio, where squirrels aren’t a problem. The birds don’t seem to physically mind it, however the dome isn’t wide enough to really keep the moisture off of the feeder during a windy storm.Looking forward to lining the inside, in the summer, to hopefully create some shade for the birds as well.Btw, the clear dome did come with the hardware, which looks like a metal loop, metal hook, and a nut to tighten the assembly. The quality looks good.

Works great for protection against rain. Would have liked it to be a deeper dome (like the Hummer Helper Helmut), for better sun protection. The domes also help reflect heat from the under-feeder bulb-heaters, back down onto the feeder, in the cold weather. My hummers seem to like the warm, dry spot to just sit & hang out in-between drinks.

I like that this cover is clear so the birds can see the feeder from the air and I can see the birds at the feeder. It does a good job keeping the rain off the feeder. It is too small for my oriole feeder but works fine over my regular feeder.

Glad I got this through Warehouse Deals. I can't see paying the full price for this. Bought to replace another unit that shattered when it was knocked down by racoons. This one appears to be made of the same material.

This dome is much to small. Squirrels can slide off of it and right onto the bird feeders.A dome size of 16-18" is required to cover most feeders unless they are over a tube feeder.
