Is there aIs there a seperate controller hub that will work with this

From the box there's no separate controller hub. For me the on board asus RGB software works to change the light, options available 16 million of color by standard like any other rgb. I believe you can buy a separate hub that can be programmed with the rest rgb lighting and with remote controller. Watch out for 5v option only.

It says compatible with 870 evo but what about 870 evo plus?. will it fit msi meg z390 ace lg1151 mobo as well?. i want to install two.

You will have to check out the mobi specs.. look for part about rbg header.. if it's 5v or 12v.. thatll guide you

Is it possible to make the fan work with a laptop motherboard (Alienware 17R4)?

No, unless u jimmie rig it , which will probably be the end of ur 1800 dollar laptop. Just get a new fan! The right one. But if u must , this fan is smaller than ur Mobo fan.

Can this replace the m.2 heatsink of the maximus xi hero?

It mounts to the card, I don't see why it wouldn't. Make sure to use the supplied heat conductive tape on the component side of the board.
