Connected a PS4 hdmi port to an old Samsung monitor's dvi-d port.I tried a couple of other brands with no joy. At that point, after hours of trying different things, I was genuinely stunned to find it worked. Really thought it was a long shot and purchased this lead as my last attempt. I had just resigned myself to it not being possible to connect the two ports. Was absolutely stunned to see the ps4 logo as previous cables gave fractured, flickering images.Note, there is no sound. Luckily, I was also able to connect the PS4 to my old Creative Audigy Soundworks speakers + subwoofer via the optical cable I had for over 15 years but never used. It sounds great. This was an afterthought after finding having to use headphones inserted into the controller's audio jack a bit cumbersome, although the sound was good... just loud. I subsequently connected a portable speaker, which also worked. But after I discovered the possibility of using the an optical cable and searching high and low for the unused one I had, using that port takes the sound to a whole other level.But I digress. If you want to connect your PS4 to a monitor with a dvi port, this works - and the image is incredibly sharp. Hopefully, I won't have to come back to review it after a couple of months. So far, so good.

The price!£7.99 for a 5 metre DVI-D to HDMI cable, have they lost their minds?....and the image quality!!!I bought this specifically to hook up my pc to my home cinema system, and after doing a little research it made sense to completely seperate the video signal from the audio component, run both to the required receivers and get better sound and picture reproduction...which was way more successful than I could have imagined.I have no doubt the high quality of this cable is responsible.I now have 3D replay via my pc and projector!

When i received the cable i noticed that the HDMI end was slightly loose, connected DVI end to pc HDMI to monitor's HDMI port 1, still feels like the connection wasn't stable so i decided to switch it to monitor's HDMI port 2, as i gently pulled out the cable from the monitor the HDMI connector cap stayed in the HDMI port of the monitor .. took me a few minutes to gently pull out with precision nose pliers ..quite disappointed as i've been a KableDirekt customer for years but recently product quality has gone down & no quality check of the product before shipment ..

The cable has strain relief, locking screws and gold plated connections and seems like a durable and quality cable and connectors. Worked flawlessly out of the box in converting a DVI-D output from the computer to a 1920x1090 HDMI monitor. Assume that the conversion is by straight through cable links so no liability of additional electronics components.

A good value lead that is definitely bi-directional. Needed to join a new laptop to a monitor with no hdmi socket. This does the job and did not cost a lot of money.
