book 1
This story details the disturbing changes that reaching the age of 19 means for Sadie a country girl who loves her brothers, home and pony. Unfortunately due to the drop in fertility all woman on reaching that age are compulsory taken from their homes to a government facility where there fertility is scored and they are then matched with a compatible partner to be married for 3, solely for the procreation of children. A fascinating book, I couldn’t put down.

a nice read
This was a nice dystopian romance. It held my attention throughout and I was not bored. I am on to the next book now.

Tense and Engaging
Okay. What just happened?I actually don’t like stories like this. It leaves me half-way weathered. Naturally, I need to know what’s going on so yes, I will get the next book in the series. But, I feel disappointed that the story wasn’t complete at the ending. How do I feel about what I read?4 stars - Sadie is a strong, kind and caring woman. The situation they are thrown is is absolutely awful, intriguing and makes for a very good plot line.I don’t like the story stopping how it did. This story sequence is incomplete, in my opinion. That disappoints me. The elements of a romance are not all there. In my opinion they need to be.
