Jake's Mint Chew Straight Mint (5)

Chewed Kodiak Wintergreen for over 20 years daily. Would occasionally chew Skoal Mint. Decided a few months ago to quit and have tried pretty much all chew alternatives. I will say that this was the one that was the closest. Is it just like chewing real tobacco- no. If there was something out there that was just like chewing tobacco, no one would chew tobacco. But, this stuff is pretty damn close. I never spit when I chewed so I can’t comment on that. This stuff packs pretty good and definitely feels like a regular chew in your lip. What I like most about this product is no cayenne or hot pepper in the ingredients. A lot of the other brands have pepper in them which in my opinion is absolutely awful. Weird feeling in mouth and severe chapped lips secondary to the pepper. Other thing I like about jakes is no molasses. The brands with molasses, in my opinion, feel like you have a bunch of mint flavored soggy raisins in your lip. I have only tried straight mint flavor which was good enough for me. This product makes quitting much easier. When you’re mentally ready to quit, go cold turkey with this stuff. Nicotine is out of your system generally in 3-7 days. This will significantly help with the cravings during that time. When I chewed tobacco I basically chewed all day every day. I quit pretty easily thanks to Jake’s.

Moist and good taste

Jake's makes an outstanding product and the flavor is perfect for the person looking to quit dip. I dipped for 15 years and then used this to hold me over. Closest thing I found to dipping, taste and texture. I tried 3 other products prior using mint leaves, corn silks, and coffee grinds, none compared to this

doesnt pack as well as typical tobacco, but it tastes great and does the job to keep me from chewing tobacco.

It's ok. Very dry and doesn't generate alot of juice like the real stuff. May try another brand. doing pretty well without anything though.

Boyfriend is trying to quit Skoal and the texture of this is good. He mixes it in with his regular tobacco and is trying to taper down.
