G-ShockMen New Thinner Carbon Mudmaster Watch, Solar Green

This beautiful beast is my very first G-Shock watch. The hype machine on this watch is high, so I was expecting a lot.I won't rehash all the features since they are widely known. I will say that pictures simply do not do this watch justice. It's rugged looking, but somehow still elegant. All the colorways look great, but I'm very happy with my choice of the GWG-2000-1A3. It's a big watch—the biggest in my collection—but it doesn't look overly-large on my 7.5" wrists.The manual is large, technical and dry. Even though I don't necessarily mind manuals like that, there are lots of excellent Youtube videos that make setting up the watch and learning its many functions a lot faster and more enjoyable than slogging through a small print manual. Also note that, with regards to functionality and the menu system, the GWG-2000 and the GWG-1000 are identical, so videos for either watch are fine.As you can see in the picture, my watch arrived with a low battery, which prevented a lot of the functionality from working straight away. A few hours in the sun had the watch at "Medium" charge, and that allowed me to really dig in to the features. I read that a full charge, which I understand can take around 24 hours of bright sunlight to achieve, can last 5-8 months (depending on usage). That's outstanding.After only 24 hours of use I can already tell this watch is worth every cent. No buyers remorse at all. In fact, I'm 100% sure I'll be adding more Mudmasters to my watch collection.

I planned on trying and returning, but I just couldn't let it go. It's expensive, but I will never let it go. Everyday forever watch.

You only need to choose the time zone. The solar charging gives a possibility of a for ever watch.

While functionally quite nice, I returned it as it was uncomfortable for me.

This watch is not mud master… it’s crappy!!!I purchased this watch 4 months ago, the crown button fell off didn’t notice it’s missing and the water leaked inside and causing the watch to stop working. Supposedly it’s still under warranty considering it’s 4 months old, but they deny the warranty coverage. It’s suppose to be mud master rough watch but water leaked is not covered by warranty. Please do yourself a favor do not buy the product, warranty doesn’t exist. They won’t take responsibility of faulty watch they’re selling.

I already owned the GWG 1000 so I purchased the 2000. Love the forged cabin case, and the numbers are easy too see. Great and very durable time piece.
