Great OEM replacement and easy install
I have a Kenmore 796.41262.610 front loader and the pump failed after about 5yrs. Replaced with this and its working great. The install is super easy if access the pump from the bottom of the unit rather than following the regular online repair videos where they remove the whole front. For tools you will need: - phillips head screwdriver - a ratchet with 10mm socket and an extension - flashlight - automotive jackstand (or similar) to safely prop the machine up - towels To repair: - Unplug and turn off the water. You shouldn't need to disconnect the fill and drain hoses if you can tilt the machine back in place. If you have a countertop or something over the washer, you'll have to disconnect everything. - Remove the drain plug cover on the front of the unit. - Remove the trim piece surrounding the drain plug (2x screws). - Push the small drain hose back into the machine. - Pull the machine out and tip it back at a 45 degree angle. Prop it in place using the jack stand on the rim of the inner access hole. - Inside, remove 3x 10mm mounting bolts with rubber washers that hold the pump assembly to the base of the unit. - Pull the pump assembly out and remove the base (3x screws). - Unplug the wiring, noting which side each color belongs to. - Remove the pump (3x screws). - Remove the white plastic pump cover and transfer it to the new pump. - Reverse all the steps to reassemble. Make sure to route the small drain hose around to the side of the pump assembly and then out the front of the machine. The only difficult part is getting the front bolt screwed back in as you won't be able to see what you're doing. If the other two bolts are connected loosely, you'll be able to do it with a bit of trial and error. Good luck!

Well-made replacement OEM part
For starters, I own an LG washer model WM3670HWA that I bought back in January 2017. Over time, we noticed that draining the washer during our weekly maintenance (sometimes bi-weekly or monthly, not going to lie!) was taking longer and longer, as the washer was retaining more water than it originally did when brand new. We kind of noticed but didn't pay too much attention, as it was still operating normally. Then the pump failed about three years after our purchase. You'll have a pretty good idea it's the pump if you hear a fast clicking sound instead of a humming sound before the spin cycle starts, and the washer displays the OE error code moments later. Check to make sure your drain hose isn't kinked and that the filter next to the drain hose isn't severely clogged. If neither is the issue, then it's likely a bad pump. **Note: You can continue to operate the washer without the pump by manually draining it from the front hose outlet after seeing the error code, and restarting the spin cycle only (turn power off/on, and press SPIN SPEED). Just know that this is a tedious process that drains A LOT of water. The picture shows the label on the failed, original OEM part I pulled out of the washer. While the label on this replacement part bought off Amazon wasn't an exact match, it had the same dimensions and overall appearance. Fit perfectly and resolved the issue. There are some good YouTube videos out there for all you DIYers, but depending on your model, it can be a little time-consuming the first time. Took me about two hours, even after watching a couple decent step-by-step videos, because getting the rubber gasket/boot back on the door was a little difficult to line up. Everything else was pretty easy. For a $25 repair, it was totally worth it. A local company wanted to charge $180. Hope this helps! Good luck! --UPDATE 10/29/2020-- After more than 7 months, still working great and no issues! If and when it fails, I'll be sure to post another update, seeing that some negative reviews mention it failing after only a few months. It's worth noting too that the pics of this pump show different labels, so it could be that the seller is changing periodically (right now it's Link EZ). Either that or the seller is changing its parts supplier from time to time. --UPDATE 12/5/2023-- Well, the replacement pump finally died this week. Lasted 3 years 8 months, which is a little longer than the original pump that came with the washer. Not sure what it is with this LG washer model, but apparently the pump design is prone to failure every 3-4 years. There were slightly cheaper options on Amazon where I could have saved $5-7, but of course I bought this same pump again! If anything unexpected happens this time around, I'll be sure to post an update.

Lasts 5 years under high use, as long as the original.
With our use (1.5 loads per day and everytime an extra rinse) the replacement pump lasted 5 years and 1 month. Almost exactly as long as the original one. Because of that good performance I just ordered and installed the second replacement pump and no surprise it fixed the OE error and we can do our laundry again. With any luck I'll update this review in another 5+ years when I put in the 3rd pump. Given the low price vs a new machine I'm contemplating to buy 2 more pumps but then its such a common model that it should still be available for many more years.

Great Pump, Terrible Washer.
Listen... this was easier than I thought to replace. The only complaint I have/had was I wish it would come with the option for a tool like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CVF7FM5?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title Also on my washer the video didn't say it but you need a 10mm socket which kinda sucks to get in there and manuever but it's not on the pump supplier. I'm just glad I can finally get it to drain correctly.. now only if I could get this LG washer to balance properly.. Fixed the OE issue and now I'm getting UE... Might be time to kick it to the curb and get a new washer.. But that again is not the pumps fault it works PERFECT. Thank you!

Replacement Drain Pump for LG WM3170CW
The part arrived same day, and was easy to install with basic tools. I’m a 45 year old woman, and I did it myself in about an hour! The video instructions included on the images of the part on Amazon were very helpful and thorough. The part was listed as OEM. It seems more like new after market part. The box says LinkEZ, not LG. We’ll just have to see what the longevity of the part is. However, for about $30 and an hour of my time, my washing machine is working perfectly again!

Fits Kenmore and works well
I have a Kenmore front load and this fit and works perfectly (most made by LG). Taking the machine apart and reassembling is difficult if you do not also have/buy the spring pliers; Moker Washing Machine Spring Expansion pliers. Well worth the $11 for the hours saved trying to put the door gasket back on.

A very good replacement pump for a Kenmore Elite model number 79641072311
Used to replace the pump for a Kenmore Elite model number 79641072311, which failed after 7 years of heavy use. Kenmore added a steel mounting plate with three rubber pillar-type feet for noise and vibration isolation, a plastic shroud over the pump and a host of other modifications to the basic LG design. These made replacement more tedious, but not really more difficult. If you're not used to working on these appliances, take a lot of photos as you go and watch YouTube videos to help understand this job. The new pump made the washer much quieter and more efficient than it has been for quite some time. Noticed the various wash cycles completed more quickly again. The old pump had a lot of end play in the impeller shaft and started leaking oil after it was removed, so it was shot. Also bought the 383EER4001A Washer Inner/Outer Tub Spring Expansion Tool by Beaquicy to remove the washer boot retaining spring. It saved a lot of time and made the spring removal and reinstallation very easy. A good product at a good price. Update 02-08-2026 We have noticed that the moldy odor we had been getting before the pump was replaced is now gone. The washer was kept very clean, but the odor would creep back in. We always leave the door open a few inches, but it made no difference. The pump was apparently contributing to this problem and replacing it eliminated the odor.

Perfect fit
This is the one! I have an LG WM3370HVA and this is the third replacement discharge pump I've put in this year. The first sounded good in operation but leaked at the gasket. The second operated for a while but always sounded terrible and in short order broke by having the blade portion disconnect from the drive shaft. This one was the easiest to install (closest dimensions to the original), very quiet in operation and is working well so far.

Funciona excelente
