Great Price & Performance
Read the fine print ( I didn’t) and you will see the decibel rating is 72 at a distance of 28 feet! Nevertheless it is no louder than my Wen shop vac. I wear ear protection always so I can listen to music from my IPhone thru my hearing aids. Suction is very strong and unit is perfect size for a small spare bedroom DIY shop.

It works well.
I have been using the Wen dust collector for about 2 months. I am quite pleased. I have been using a vintage Torit 1/2 hp dust collector, but the Wen has a higher CFM that works a lot better for my equipment. Only problem I have had is when I put softer wood in the jointer, it ends up with more shavings that plugged the input of the collector. Seller warned about it, so I am good with that. With hardwoods, it is not a problem - more sawdust, less shavings. Before, I had to put on a dust mask using the table saw, but now it is no longer needed.

Pulling power is great
600 CFM is great for dust collecting on my CNC Router. It's a little louder than my previous dust collector, but not bad.

Small size with good draw
I am using this for my master bathroom renovation. I have it hooked up to my 4 inch vent fan line that exits out the back of my house. Busting up tile and drywall would be a dust disaster in my bedroom w/o this. It comes with an extra set of carbon brushes, and I ordered more to have on hand. Works very well for the money, and is perfect for my needs.

Purchased as a dedicated dust collector for my small planer
The media could not be loaded. Summary: Not too loud, suctions well when used with one tool and no splitter (watch out for long shaving from a planer - it will clog), but I would replace the bag with a higher quality one.Full review: I purchased this dust collector for my small planer. The shavings that come out of the planer, even such a small unit, is no match for my small shop vac. I was only interested in the models with an induction motor (quieter and more power), but a smaller unit (wall mount/4 in inlet) since the outlets in my garage won't handle a larger unit. The Wen dust collector is well packaged with strategically placed Styrofoams. It's not loud but sounds similar to my small shop vac, and quieter than the planer - see decibel readings for relative comparison. I was able to run my planer and Wen dust collector together from the extension reel (rated 13A), most of the time, so 7.4A rating must be the maximum amp of this motor. The Wen dust collector keeps up with the planer - no clogging, though I only run hardwoods that produce smaller chips than softwoods. Originally, I put the unit on the wall, but I built a mobile base that holds both the planer and Wen dust collector. Also, be careful with the handle - it attaches to the sheet metal which flexes a lot.The only concern is that the dust bag - which puffs out the dust that visible under the flashlight. I thought the bag will eventually accumulate enough fine saw dust inside to "clog" the pores ("seasoned") to minimize the dust release. But, so far - the bag is at least 1/3 filled, I still see dust is coming out from the bag. As the dust fills up the bag, the filter area decreases so it may be forcing the air out of top section of the bag and may be contributing to some dust release. This is the major limitation of this style of dust collector with a collection bag that also acts as a air filter - more dust accumulates in the bag, less filtration/air flow. While some dust escaping is ok as long as I can open the garage door, but I plan to replace the dust bag with a filter. This is my initial impression of this unit, and overall, I am happy that I don't have to sweep the piles of shavings any more.Update (Oct 2023): I purchased a canister filter for my Wen dust collector. With a MDF adapter, the filter fits ok onto the outlet of Wen unit. I also tried the Wen unit with a DustRight 5 micron bag, and I could not see any fine dust coming out, unlike the Wen bag. While both bags are rated at 5 micron filtration, the DustRight bag has thicker bag material compare to the Wen bag. I compared the db level with the DustRight dust collector (rated also at 650CFM), and the Wen unit is quieter (72 db vs 77 db for the DustRight dust collector).

Broke in 30 minutes!
Piece of crap! Has a plastic impeller fan blade and broke in the first 30 minutes of use. Don’t buy!

Understand what you're buying and its still just okay
I'm writing this review from the point of view that this is a very cheap dust collector. I've only used it a little bit but I feel like I have a handle on how it will perform. The Good:1.)Easy to assemble2.)Does a good job on my small jointer (160mm)3.)Quiet4.)CheapThe Bad:1.)I know the manual warns you not to, but if you don't remove the inlet screen, you might as well throw it in the trash, or buy a super dust deputy to go with it. With the screen in clogged in literally 3 seconds of use.2.)Mine came without casters, bolts, or the clamp for the bag. If I didn't have spare clamps for the 4" hose, I would be in a different emotional state.3.)It did a terrible job on my planer. Which I'll put about 1/3 on the planer, 1/3 on me planing a thick board, and the last third on the dust collector.4.)Bag is a bit of a pain to emptyConsidering the expense, I didn't expect this to perform like a 5hp 7" dust collector. The quality control (missing multiple parts) is abysmal. If it lasts me two years I'll call it a victory. With that said, performance (once the screen is removed) is on par with what should be expected for what you're paying. Also when you open the box you get that mainland china factory smell, if you aren't sure what that is, buy this and you will know.*UpdateThey have already shipped me the missing parts, so good on them for customer service.
