Great Purchase
This can of tea is sold in the store for more than 20 bucks and I got it on Amazon for less than 10. Yet the tea is still of great quality -- the jasmine flavor stands out so well and maybe taking into account my brewing time, the green tea smells strong yet never comes bitter. It could be an everyday enjoy, if I'm not such a tea mania and got so many cans of different tea leaves I can't take any of them as everyday... what a lovely beauty.

An economical, "middle of the road" dragon pearl tea
Dragon Pearl tea is one of my favorite types of tea. I drink Dragon Pearl several times a week, so this is coming from my experience of a variety of different brands. My favorite Dragon Pearl I buy from a local herb shop. It's fresh, highly aromatic and tastes wonderful. When I came across this deal at $9 for 4oz, I was curious enough to give it a try. When I first opened the canister, it had the floral-filled aroma I was expecting, albeit not as potent as I am accustomed to. I was about to make my first cup of tea, when I noticed a hair inside. Grabbing a hold of it, I pulled out a 10" long strand of black hair. My first instinct was to return it, but I didn't. I hope whoever was working that day hand-rolling my tea was at least a bit hygienic. The tea itself once brewed was weak. Don't get me wrong, it tasted good, just significantly weaker than I am used to. If you're looking for a nice, inexpensive gift for someone, this would fit the bill nicely - sans hair, hopefully. However, if you're looking for an impressive Dragon Pearl tea for someone used to drinking it, they will probably be a bit disappointed. I'll probably finish the can, and then head back to my herb shop.

great price
This tea is so relaxing. Very delicate flavor but I drink it for the wonderfully scented steam that wafts in my face with each sip. Does not have the intense jasmine aroma that some other brands have but it is still very good for the price. A canister like this will last forever considering I only use 5-7 pearls per cup.

Hope I'm just making it wrong
I've never really been a tea drinker, but was reading up on the health benefits, so I thought I would try. I read a lot of reviews and decided to go with green tea. I found this one on Amazon and ordered it yesterday. I received it today and tried it. I'm hoping I just made it wrong. I boiled 16 oz of water, steeped 1 tablespoon of tea for 3 minutes, and drained it. This stuff is AWFUL! It tastes like a mix of dirt and burnt popcorn.

Beautiful but weak.
I wanted this to taste as good as it smelled and looked in the tin, but it didn't once brewed. Use a LOT of tea and brew it for a long time, and you will still have weak Chai tea, too weak to add milk, or make a latte with. I added some additional black tea to the blend to pump it up and it was OK, but still not as good as other brands. Try Tazo organic Chai in bags, it's better.

Easily comparable to Joy Tea from Tazo (Teavana =/ )
This is like the less expensive, yet entirely comparable, cousin to Tazo's (now Teavana =/ ) Joy Tea. You can definitely taste the fruity flavors in it and it has an adequate amount of caffeine in it to give you that kick without the heart attack and impending crash. The tea itself was a little rough on the eyes in terms of presentation (looks like someone took whole leaves and crushed them with their bare hands to fill the tin) but that has no bearing on the quality or flavor of the tea in my opinion.I was a little surprised (or whatever) that the tea comes loose in the tin with no inside bag or other means to keep it contained once opened, but I didn't find this problematic to the point to deduct a star, as this review is in regards to the tea, and not the packaging. I also made the mistake of ordering this over summer, and anyone who loves tea knows that tea degrades in heat (I typically make all my orders for the year in the cool season). The shipping box came smelling of this tea which was awesome and worrisome, but I feel it had not bearing on the outcome of the tea.Would recommend! Especially for the price!

Best flavor and price
There once was a specialty grocery store that carried a Jasmine Pearl green tea in a pyramid shaped tea bag under their own label. When they discontinued it I looked all over for a company that may have produced it for the grocery line (customer support of the store would not give up the name of their source). While there are many Jasmine green teas and pearl green teas only the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearl Green Tea has the lovely flavor profile that I was looking for. The green tea pearls are made from young leaves so the taste is not bitter or grassy. I learned that the method of infusing the pearls with jasmine creates a far more pleasing jasmine taste and aroma than when dried flowers are added with cut tea.The Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearl Green Tea is not packaged in tea bags and has actually turned out a blessing since I can control the strength (I like it strong).Tea pearls are a labor intensive process plus the infusing with fresh jasmine flowers all adds to the cost of production. The price of this product is reasonable and when purchased through Amazon's regular delivery program it is just that much better.

Add it to your green tea
I buy my Dragon Phoenix Jasmine Pearls every month from this company. Add them to your loose green tea. They add a delicious flavor and fragrance. I use just a small teaspoon or two for a pot. I drink it hot or cold. This has been a very reliable company. Their price is reasonable, too, since this product can be quite expensive. (BTY, this is not the same as drinking jasmine green tea. This is waaaaay better.)
