Excellent macro flash but no auto features
love this macro flash setup. The flash build quality is top notch. This improved my workflow and pictures. I use it on my 150mm sigma macro. Excellent results. Keep in mind that its NOT AUTO, so all AUTO features on your camera, ( auto iso and auto exposure) have to be turned off otherwise everything will be overexposed which is not a problem for my macro shooting.

Best budget flash, don't go cheaper
Love this flash! Was using a basic flash with batteries and it was slow and had to change often. I can take many pictures in rapid succession with the rechargable Lion battery. Also just better quality for just a little more price than the cheap ones. Would recommend!

WIll not work with Canon STM lenses
The macro light it self looked well constructed, but it will not work with a Canon STM lens because the adapter plate screws into the front of the lens and is too heavy for the lens to focus with it attached. if you have a UTM lens it should work fine as the focusing is all done inside the lens. unfortunately it looks like the only macro ring light that will work is canons and is $550.

A must for microphotography
I was looking into buying a 24mm probe lens but that thing is $1500 and is pretty bulky. I already have a 90mm micro lens and honestly just needed a light source in front of my lenses. Then, I randomly found this flash and decided to give it a try.It gets the job done for me and is a much less expensive alternative! I love this flash. If you are into macro photography, I recommend.Another plus is that the flash can be attached to multiple lenses of different sizes.

A macro flash you can always trust.
Very good and reliable macro flash; gave me good close-up shots everytime.

Not for Sony A7R
Might be good hard to say. Doesn't work with Sony cameras , not at least with A7RIIIDESPITE advertised claims. My cameras other flashes work fine. They do sell (not here but else where) Sony compatible version (has (S) after model name). Also for fitting rings are super flimsy.Otherwise feels sturdy. But I'd give 0 stars for selling stuff with false claims ...
