IXTECH Microphone Boom Arm with Desk Mount, 360° Rotatable, Adjustable and Foldable Scissor Mounting for Podcast, Video Gaming, Radio and Studio Audio, Sturdy and Universal - Elegance Model

I have a blue yeti attached and this mic has held in place for quite some time (several months) without faltering. The yeti is a heavy mic so this arm has been amazing. It is easily adjustable, the stand that attaches to the desk is very sturdy and very well made. Very heavy duty. Looks and functionality are fantastic. It looks nice, gives the appearance of being very high end, and makes for a very professional look. As for the finctionality, it is easily adjustable, stays in place without sag or droop. My previous mic arm would constantly start off in a high position and within about 5 minutes be at the desktop level so I had to constantly readjust it. This one stays on place at the position I want. There is a track at the top for cords (a cord chanel) which hides the cords and makes for a very clean look. It has three adjustment points that can be tightened which helps maintain the position of the mic. Overall very good mic arm, well made, and certainly a good value.

Like others have mentioned, it has a limited range of motion. To be specific, the issue lies with the first part of the arm which extends immediately after the mount which attaches to the desk. This part can only adjust about 30 degrees either direction past center while the second part of the arm can fold nearly 180 degrees. This means that you absolutely must have clearance of at least 2.5ft directly above where you attach it to the desk because regardless of how you tilt it, the first part of the arm will always be aiming mostly straight up with perhaps a slight tilt (or straight down if you mount it upside down or straight to the side if you mount it sideways). I'll be honest, when I first went to set it up, I thought that I'd have to return it due to how limited the angle of adjustment was, however I quickly realized (probably like most people here) that I just needed to mount it differently than I had envisioned in my head. I'm 100% happy with it now that it's setup and it's very easy to lock into place where my heavy mic doesn't move at all and it feels sturdy enough to be around for a really long time. The way I have it installed, my mic is super close to my mouth but is barely visible on camera while holding the heavy microphone out at an awkward angle and yet it doesn't struggle at all with no visible slipping. This was exactly what I was hoping for.

This thing is costy but its sleek. It's a good quality and has built in cable management. I'd say it's worth it. There is a clamp that clamps to the desk, and the boom arm slides into a hole in the clamp. There isn't anything securing the two though.. It has never fell out or shown any signs of coming close, but I always thought that was weird. I've had the thing for years, although it resides at a PC set up at a house I don't go to often, but it is great quality and nothing but fair for the price.

This is a very solidly built mic arm that feels sturdy, has great built-in cable management, and it looks very nice. The big thing for me personally that takes off a star is the very limited range of motion. I added photos comparing it to the cheap spring loaded mic arm I was using before. It is better in every way but the range of motion and in turn, the increased size it takes up on my desk is considerable compared to the cheaper arm. A comment for the photos: - the first photo is of the two arms completely “tucked away” - meaning that is minimum gap you can expect to get between the 2 main sections of the arm. The cheap arm flexes so much that the two main arms are essentially parallel which was great to save space on my desk and get it out of the way when not in use. This mic arm does not flex nearly as much so requires some creative maneuvering and twisting to keep it from blocking my left screen when not in use. - the second photo shows the arms fully extended - for me, this was how far and flat can I get the 2 sections to be. The cheap arm can lay pretty much completely flat on my desk - excellent range of motion. This mic arm flexes enough to more than get the mic near my face but the arm higher in the air and is going to require me moving it further forward on my desk to, again, avoid blocking my left monitor. I am not sure why people have rated the range of motion of this mic arm so highly considering this. Again, this may not be a problem for some people but definitely worth knowing before getting this mic arm. Hope this helps anyone considering this. Other than this, it’s a really great piece of hardware so far.

I purchased two of these arms for my home studio and though I haven't had them long, I've found that they work very well for my broadcast and podcast needs. What really stood out was the quality of customer support and communication I received from both Amazon and IXTECH when my second arm arrived damaged. Amazon instantly took care of the issue with a no-hassle replacement. Unfortunately, the replacement was also damaged upon arrival. In both cases, the delivery company had punctured the boxes, but I do believe there was some concern about returned and/or refurbished items being put back into the general supply for redistribution. Amazon ultimately told me that IXTECH wasn't willing to send another replacement without hearing from me directly. Amazon quickly put me in touch with IXTECH, and IXTECH then started a seamless stream of communication. Their primary concern seemed to be understanding *how & why* these defects continued to happen. I provided them with a detailed list of concerns and they took great care to let me know that they were meticulously checking every item in their current supply to make adjustments and were speaking with their manufacturer to ensure that future products came off the line to their specifications. They also said they were working with the delivery company to hopefully ensure that their products arrive undamaged moving forward. IXTECH expedited me a final (and fully working) arm as well as a pre-paid label to return the defective merchandise. I found the person I was emailing with to be very communicative and generally concerned about my experience, while also working hard to ensure that future customers didn't have similar issues. In short, IXTECH made no excuses, owned the issues, acted quickly to resolve my concerns and future issues, and made good on product delivery. From start to finish, I received quality customer service from IXTECH and Amazon in the face of unexpected issues...and for that, I'm grateful.

I use these for my two streaming mics (AKG 420s) and I was using the third as a VR Lighthouse stand for the sensor. I will probably adapt the third as a camera stand for a stream camera if I do hand cam stuff as it gets the view much further off the desk than a monitor mounted clip. The joints loosen over time with use but you just twist and tighten them back up. (I move mine up and down, and around the desk space multiple times a day). I've used them for my ASMR speaking mics for a long time, they are great. If I need another desk mounted arm to save space I will order a 4th in the future.

The range of motion is amazing. I can rotate my mic completely out of my view in seconds. It extends further than I thought it would or need it to, which might have been a problem. But because it is so easy to position exactly where I need it, it hasn't been an issue at all. My previous boom couldn't bear the weight of my Blue Yeti mic for more than 15 minutes, but this boom does it easily for hours. I also love how well it manages the wires. They are hidden from the camera and never cause any issues when moving the mic where it is needed. I can highly recommend it!

I was excited to get my first adjustable mic boom arm but this thing is a hunk of junk. There are three main issues that I have with this product. Issue number one is that there is some mechanism in the arm that will pull the different parts of the arms back to the standard location with knobs to turn to maintain where you want the arm to be. Even after wrenching on them (with your hands of course because they are cheap plastic dials) they still bounce back so it takes forever to find the right placement. This might be okay if you never moved your microphone but I assume (like me) people will want to fold it behind a monitor when not in use. Another issue with this boom arm is that when full threaded in, the microphone tilts to the right. There are two options here, put your boom arm to the left of you so that it naturally falls in-front of you at an angle or back the microphone off, leading to it not staying where you want it. Issue number three is that there are clips along the arm to keep the cords to the microphone tight and organized. This would be the case but four of the six clips don't lock into the arm properly. Regardless of how hard I push down, they pop back open. The cord for my microphone is smaller than the channel intended for the cords to run through so this is just the outcome of poor design and quality. Overall this is not a very good product even for the price range and I would suggest looking elsewhere.

I bought this product because I needed a better boom arm for my Quadcast S microphone offering cqble management features, and I was'nt dissapointed ! It feels and looks very well built, stays in position very well and is very flexible. Would recommend !
