Works for what I needed it for
I was thinking they would be thicker but they’re still good

More than acceptable for what it is
These are extremely soft brushes. They have no shape retention, and hold very little pigment. Neither of these are bad points per se, but it is important to know what you're getting.I wouldn't recommend these brushes to a beginner who wants to jump into making quality artwork, but for someone with a little more knowledge they can be a useful tool. They don't hold their shape when wet or loaded with pigment. They are great for laying down loose washes of color, or blending out harsher lines.I would most readily recommend these to crafters. for art applications. They are best suited to soft body acrylics, but I would stay away from watercolor, oils as well as heavy body acrylics with these.Synthetic brushes have come a long, long way in the last 20 years, to the point where there are some that are superior to natural hair...these are not those brushes. This will get paint on a surface, but not with any real finesse, and I wouldn't call them a joy to use. If you are in the market for a $1.16 brush, these will do just fine, otherwise move up to something with better quality and a price to match.

Great for basting food. So so for use with traditional wall paints.
I'm not a fan of "feathery" strokes when I paint, which is why I generally use various sizes of foam rollers. However, brushes must be used for fine detailing and odd shapes and sizes.I tested these with some regular latex paint I had around using an old piece of smooth wood. They didn't drip, held paint well and cleaned pretty quickly and easily. However, the surfaces had "striping" and that was NOT a look I was going for. Now, I could see using these for a variety of craft projects. I like that they came in the three widths, which allows you to use the smallest you need. There were two sets. I used one for paints as noted above. The other found their way into the kitchen. I'm always in need of something to baste with and after seriously washing and rinsing these in super hot water, and drying, I used them to baste a variety of foods. Lots of coverage, very little dripping. As for cleaning, well, basting sauces have oils, so...but at these prices, if they don't get super clean (we do by hand, no dishwasher here), you can just toss them.I can't recommend these over foam rollers if you are doing traditional wall painting, but they could be very good for edging, moldings, cutting into corners where you won't necessarily be concerned about seeing brush strokes. Now, if you have a decorative treatment where you want stippling or striping, then these would work very well.

Good solid traditional brushes
These are being used exclusively in our wood shop. The different colored bristles turned out to be a handy little detail. The white bristles for varnishes, colored bristles for stain. Honestly I'm not sure it's needed, but my OCD loves organizational details like that. They're sturdy, with good handles. Traditional shape. These will get used rather hard and frequent, so I'll update if they don't last as I expect.Bristles are all smooth, even, and well-secured.Don't forget to use the Smile.Amazon.com address - It's an Amazon program where many things you buy every day will generate a small donation from Amazon to the charity of your choice. Strong smell when package opened.
When I opened up the package, it had a very strong smell. So much so that I took the brushes outside to air for several days before I brought them back in. The handles have been stained and have a glossy finish, and I think the smell came from that. This set had three brushes with white nylon and three brushes with golden nylon. Each of these colors had a 1 inch, 2 inch, and 3 inch wide brush. The white nylon came smudged with gray at the tip, and they didn't look especially well made. So far they work fine and haven't dropped any bristles, but I'm not that convinced that this set is any better than a cheap generic package of the same assortment of brushes that I bought some time ago.
