This eraser is the best I've tried. It's now the only one I use.

No smudging with these erasers. They wipe pencil marks away clean for me. They require the Staedtler Mars Plastic Eraser holder to use them.If you need to erase large areas.... buy the Staedtler Mars® plastic 526 50 erasers. As an artist I have used them for years because they are so good at removing design errors and smudges from graphite pencil drawings.

So I love Staedtler products! This being said, I was hoping that these erasers would mimic more the erasers at the end of some of their pencils. While they are not so much similar to the pencil end erasers, they are almost the exact match for the rectangular erasers. I love their large erasers so I am happy with these. The only drawback, as with every eraser of this sort, is that you do have to press a little heavier on the holder because the holder is a higher quality product than many others out there. Once you get used to that difference you will appreciate the ability to use a Staedtler eraser in a more precise way rather than the corner of the block eraser or using all the end of your pencil erasers. I personally am a little fanatical about keeping corners of my larger erasers and don't like using all my pencil erasers so this is a wonderful product for me. As a teacher these are great for me because otherwise I would have to tote around a bigger eraser which I don't mind but why would I when these can fit beautifully in your pencil box, desk, pocket, etc.

Best. Eraser. Ever. Used by professionals and required for manual drafting for a reason. If you own a pencil, you should own the eraser this refill belongs to.

These are amazing and great at cleaning up areas of your picture where any graphite got smudged. I use them in almost all my drawings.

Stationery lover here! I love using pen erasers for note taking as they can I can be precise as opposed to using a eraser block.I have been using staedler pen erasers for a long time and they never fail me when taking notes. I recently found out they carried refills and I wish I knew this sooner since I have so many empty pen eraser shells laying around now. One stick typically lasts me a year, but I guess that also depends on how much you use it.Zero faults at all. It's a great eraser.Overall, I recommend these!!!
