Great picture quality and sound quality
The media could not be loaded. Well, here I am writing this review after two months of use. Very easy to set up. Open your Google and just say set up my device. Weight is about the same as the MacBook Pro 2017, which makes it easy to carry. Battery life is not so great; it lasts two hours, easy, just enough to watch one movie. Image and sound quality are great, as you can see in pictures. Daytime you want your blinds down for a brighter picture.

Fantastic Portable Projector for Van Life & More – Nearly Perfect
Review:I’ve been using the XGIMI Halo+ mainly in my campervan, projecting onto a screen mounted in the pop-top, and it’s been absolutely fantastic. The picture quality is sharp and vibrant, and I was genuinely surprised by how bright it is, even during the day. The kids have also used it in our static caravan, projecting straight onto a wall, and it still looks brilliant.Setup is quick and easy, and the build quality feels solid and premium, like it’s made to last. The built-in speakers are very impressive for the size of the unit, providing more than enough volume and clarity for movie nights or casual viewing. One of the most impressive aspects is how quiet the fan is. Even in the close quarters of a campervan, it’s barely noticeable, which really helps maintain an immersive experience.I’ve also tested it in gaming mode and found the responsiveness to be very good. While it’s not on par with a high-end gaming monitor, it’s more than suitable for casual gaming on the move, and I’ve had no complaints. The only downside, and the reason I’ve knocked off a star, is with Bluetooth connectivity. When connecting to my JBL Charge 5 speaker, I’ve experienced frequent dropouts unless the speaker is placed right next to the projector. I’ve tried resetting devices, updating software, and even reducing nearby bluetooth interference, but the issue persists. I’m not sure if this is a unit-specific fault or a general limitation, but it’s something to be aware of if you plan to use Bluetooth audio at a distance.Overall, I’m really pleased with the Halo+. It’s an excellent portable projector that performs incredibly well on the road, in a van, or in a static setup. A great all-rounder for anyone looking for a compact, high-quality viewing experience.

Amazing travel portable projector 10/10
Very good projector, I feel upgrade from my previous portable projector. HDR good and built in google tv helpful clean interface. Defo recommend to buy one. You can even use it outside as its rechargeable. Very portable can be put into a backpack. Max I blew up to 120inch I know it can do 200inch which is cool. And has 700 lumes so it’s nice and bright. Xgimi excellent projector and there customer services on point always here to help online chat and email for any questions. So what you waiting for go and get one.

Quick First Impressions - not great.
Pros: Well packagedBright enough in a darkened roomSound is ok.Good enough for young kids.Has its own batteryFan is quiet.Cons:You can’t set it up without internet. You can’t use your phone’s personal Wi-Fi hotspot to set it up, I tried, it just doesn’t see it. You need a WI-FI Access Point, so I used hardware to set up a fake one, I don’t want it consulting Wi-Fi maps to locate owner. Seems most Chinese brands do this now. I just want to play my dvd through hdmi, why is there no basic middle of nowhere camping option for this without all this “spyware” activity? You can’t use it or set it up without the remote. There’s no recessed slot for keeping the projector and remote together. I had misplaced it within 15min and spent another 15 min looking for it.No carry bag to protect it. No lens cap.My ancient 1080p Benq offers a better image, and usability wise the equally ancient Asus PICO P1 is usable out of the box, no internet needed just to plug in an hdmi cable, your input source determines what you’ll need on the Asus.I suspect the keystone camera should be covered up when you key in your password into google play. Chinese tech companies have to assist their govt by law in providing whatever information they have gathered. Be careful. I set up temporary Wi-Fi & google accounts just for this.During set up it offers Ethernet as an option, but there’s no Ethernet socketThe Keystone is not bad, but takes a few seconds to adjust. I could not find a “Zoom”. Corners can be reconfirmed manually each time the device was moved, but I found the auto-keystone “good enough” not to need time spent manually adjusting, unless slight imperfections really bother you. It’s a portable battery device, of course it’s going to be moved. The battery life is very good, at least for the first kids film I tried it with. The Asus dealt with Keystone was automatic, but did not have extreme positioning like this does, but it did allow small manual refinements without triggering its movement detection, which was useful. There’s no recess to keep an HDMI streaming device plugged in and out of the way, instead it sticks out. Plugging in an iPhone with an HDMI adapter eventually worked, but the projector makes a mess of the HDMI video instead of immediately recognising it and intelligently projecting the whole frame of my iPhone recorded videos in portrait or landscape during mirroring, it just showed a narrow vertical rectangle of part of the picture (ViewSonic, Barco, Benq, and Asus all did much better, instantly producing full frame as intended by the iPhone). Netflix from the phone did much better, having heard they don’t have a license to operate the android playstore Netflix app and won’t ever get one I suspect, they could have focused on making sure basic HDMI usage worked without set up, internet, account tracking or remote controller. Like the major brands mentioned and most are available on Amazon. If you are contemplating entertaining adults get the high end Benq for example, or biz sales presentations at a client site, any of the other major brands will do better, no messing about in front of your clients, especially the Asus & Benq, up and running as soon as they are plugged in, the only place where this brand is better, it does not need to be plugged in.I intended to use it to entertain kids, but worried about its keystone triggered by motion… kids! It will have to do. I am happy I did not buy their 4K projector at nearly twice the cost. I’ll save for a major brand. Shame really, the same DLP chip but a major brand has a lot of attention to detail in usability, and the option to sidestep the spyware, or make it optional. Note you can’t even set up without it being able to track you over the internet. 😒Further updates and video/images later.

Really surprised with quality.
Picture quality is amazing, even when you have uneven surfaces, or have to put it in akward place on the go. It readjust itself quite fast. tested on 100" screen and its AMAZING for the price. Bright enough to even have small table lights going and not affecting quality as bad as YT reviews show. And the sound system og my. Had a chance to test it in high ceiling room and it was close enough to cinema. Shame battery don't last entire movie, but 1.5h short film should hold no problem.

Xgimi Halo+ Projector
What an amazing projector. It ticks all the boxes for me as I have used lots of portable projectors in the past and this one has to be number one! I had been keeping my eye on this one for a long time and finally took the plunge and I have to say I am not disappointed at all. It is well worth the money for all the functionality that this little gem provides. That gives an amazing large picture with such clear clarity and the sound is harmon kardon which is also amazing. Plus it has a 3D function added to the system. Happy days!
