Updated Review. POE injector works fine with Nest Cam and Outdoor Next Cam
My earlier review stated that this did not work with the Outdoor Nest Cam, but I was wrong. My wife purchased another outdoor Nest Cam during black Friday, and I decided to give this POE injector another try since I already had the CAT5E and WS-POE-5v-10w up in my attic after the first failed attempt (yeah I was lazy and didn't feel like going through the hassle of removing the cables). Anyway, it didn't work at first even though the WS-POE-5v-10w showed that it was receiving power and was providing 5vdc. I realized that the problem is with either the 1.35mm DC barrel connector or the USB connection to the camera. After playing with the connection a little, my Nest cam is working flawlessly.Bottom line, this POE injector solves a major headache with Nest Cameras and their rigid power requirements. If you need to power your camera and do not have access to a standard outlet close enough to reach with the power cord, then you need this device.

This product was extremely easy to use and set up
This product was extremely easy to use and set up. I ordered two and both worked perfectly out of the box. However I was not able to get max connection speed to my access point using this device. The switch and AP have gigabit interfaces but my connection speed was 100mbps.

Good solid construction, should last a while.
Okay; homemade security camera? Check. Raspberry Pi media center? Check. Printer Server? Check. Hidden low power storage for the security camera? check that too. Unified way to power it all without a mess of cables? Now I can check that off too.It works and works well. I have 4 Raspberry Pi based devices and 2 Unifi APs running of of this so far with out any issues.
