Faucet Aerator Adapter

It's ok

I got a Panda brand portable washing machine with a quick-release hose that connects to the sink faucet. The adapter that came with the washing machine was damaged, so I was happy to find this replacement. The metal isn’t as thick or sturdy as the one that came with my washing machine, but it fit my standard kitchen sink faucet and connected perfectly to the washing machine hose. It comes with a mesh aerator insert which is helpful for controlling the water flow. I recommend using the aerator, it really makes a difference and helps the washing machine work properly. At times when the washing machine was running it made water spray out around the collar of the adapter, but I added plumber’s tape underneath it, and it’s just a small drip now. I don’t know if this is entirely the fault of the adapter though, so I didn’t factor it into my score.

Fits my Danby DDW1899WP portable dishwasher just fine. UPDATE (4/3/2013): This adapter has an aerator built-in. I found this out after crushing the first one trying to tighten it with need-nosed vise grips. I found another adapter at Lowes that fits the dishwasher just as well, but it doesn't have an aerator built-in, so I'm ordering another one of these. I asked around plumbing stores for an adapter to fit this to my faucet and they seemed surprised I didn't need an aerator too, so maybe it being built-in is kinda rare. And yes, I tried taking the aerator out of this one and putting it into the new one, but it didn't fit. BTW: Irwin Tools 36- 2 Piece Original Locking Pliers Set Contains: 1 Each 7WR and 6LN Use the type on the right, NOT the left. Just sayin'.

I mean it leaks but it works thats what matters to me. I used it for my comfee portable washer.

This faucet coupler is better than the one which came in the box of my dishwasher. The original leaks a bit when the dishwasher is hooked up, while this one does not. The other one had a completely ineffective aerator, and would just dump an absurd stream of water into the sink. This one actually aerates and limits the flow like it should. Much better. The model of my dishwasher is SD-2224DS, but almost all countertop dishwashers use the same connection. (I had purchased this for a used dishwasher that didn't end up working. When I bought a new one, I thought I would compare the two.)

It fits any portable washer

This was a great purchase! I have a type of faucet that was missing the adapter, and this fit perfectly and worked exactly as I needed it to. Installation was simple, it fit securely, and most importantly it did not leak at all. The water flow worked great once installed, and everything functioned perfectly right away. It’s always nice when a product actually solves the problem without any hassle. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it if you need a reliable faucet adapter.

I ordered the wrong thing, but it was my own fault for not checking carefully. I had entered the name of my washing machine & adapter into the Amazon search field. It returned this dishwasher adapter. It looks like the one for my washing machine. I assumed it was what I needed, and I was thrilled that I could easily order it from Amazon at a reasonable price. When it arrived I quickly realized it wouldn't work, but it wasn't until I was putting it back into the little bag that I realized I had ordered a dishwasher adapter. If you need an adapter for your portable Haier washing machine, keep looking! This isn't it!

It leaks a bit, like some of the other reviews stated but nothing too bad. This item was a lifesaver for me as we left our old adapter behind when we moved. It’s worth it!
