I purchased this mandolins slicer for my husband . He cooks breakfast every morning and it is a must to have fried potatoes or hash brown potatoes every morning. He was always trying to slice the potatoes by hand, and knicking a finger or not getting them sliced the same thickness, the Mandoline Slicer really does the job. Uniformly slices potatoes, can cut onion rings perfectly. Can shred carrots for Cole slaw beautifully. It is easy to assemble, comes apart easily to clean. This Mandoline Slicer is used several time in a day. It is the best thing purchased for the kitchen since my husband retired 10 months ago. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

My husband and I eat healthy whicheans alot of vegetables and this slicer does all it says. I've had 4 or 5 other slicers over the years but this one is the best by far. Safe, easy to use (I have arthritis in my hands), stays sharp and cleans easily. Do yourself a favor and buy one - you won't be disappointed.

Cuts with ease and I chance of cutting my fingers as I have done in the past. To clean I use dawn spray and the brush included, then rinse and let dry. Assembly and disassembles with ease. I have cut potatoes for fries, slices for scallop potatoes. Also carrots and radishes for salad, eggs and celery for chicken salad, pickles for omelets and fruit for pancakes.I ordered two one for home and other for my camper. I cut items quicker with this slicer than my flat one.The seller shipped quickly, I was very surprised they arrived earlier than estimated by Amazon. Will definitely reorder for gifts

So this product does not really come with instructions. So to figure out what type of cut you want for your veggies is just trial and error. The 2 knobs on the back are only numbered and that is not helpful at all.
