Great little lights, excellent value
I like these little lights. At the time of writing I got two of these little AAA lights for just under twelve dollars including tax. At six dollars each I think these are a great value. The light is the length of an Olight i3t but feels thinner. The light will always default to "high" when turned on. Personally I like to start at low so I'm not blinded and then click up to high. Most people want to pull out their light and be able to blind an intruder or light up a room immediately, so they prefer it to start on high. That's personal preference. Turn it on for high, click again for low. Both modes are decent. I don't think the high is as high as an i3t and the low feels like around 15 lumens to me, but I don't have the equipment to measure. For this price does it matter? The high is plenty bright and the low is useful but not blinding. What you would use the strobe for, I don't know, but if you click another time, it's there. Maybe to attract attention if you're lost in the dark? These run on any old AAA battery you have lying around. Don't put a 2.4 or 3.7 volt battery in. Just stick to 1.5 volt alkaline or a rechargeable (usually around 1.2 volts). The black light I got is black, but the gold one looks more like a pale green. It's fine. In fact it's probably better. Again, personal preference. The light feels like decently solid aluminum of some kind. It weighs just about nothing. The clip is reversible. Not "2-way" but reversible as in "pull it off, turn it around, and stick it on the other end" reversible. Nothing is "wrong" with the clip but it feels like the weakest part of the light. Probably the clip will wear out and break if used a lot. If it does, I'll use the light without a clip, or I will find a removable space-pen or pokka pen clip, or a clip from another light, and use that. I bought these to use as "I don't care if I lose it" lights (keep in a glove box, first aid kit, a toolbox, a drawer...) but I've been using one since I received it and I find I like it quite a bit. Some reviewers report the lights "glitch" after some use. Mine have not. If either one does I'll update my review (yes, I will actually do this). For what you're paying for these, they are a surprising value. I'll be picking up some more while the price is right.

Nice small flashlight
I have many of these flashlights. Well made, small, easy to carry, bright light output, clip is a nice touch for shirt pocked carry or your pants packet. Not costly or expensive compared to other name brands and for me and my needs dose exactly what need when I need a light.

Good mini flashlight for the price!
Exactly what I expected! Only issue I have and reason for a 4 star is if bulb goes out you need to replace the whole unit. But for the price it is worth it.

I accidentally put one through the washer and it works as well as it did before.
I accidentally put one through the washer and it still works perfectly fine, it still works just as well as the other one. The light is definitely bright enough for most scenarios. I recommend this if you are looking for a small, durable pocket flashlight.

Nice Light
Brightness is fine with an alkaline battery, but I'm using lithium 10440 rechargeables, which gives them even more light yet. Excellent for a little single cell penlight. I'm happy with the tail switch, or a screw barrel would work fine too. Side push buttons are too hard to find in the dark. Their high and low power levels are all that are necessary and easy to access. Click on to high, half click to low, half click again to strobe, click for off. The strobe is not of much use in a penlight, but it doesn't get in the way either. Durability, so far, is fine. I've used them for a couple of weeks and still working perfectly, but I have not used them in any kind of inclement weather or water. At this price point these lights are near perfect.

Solid value to performane ratio
Context is important. These are cheap, small flashlights powered by a single small battery, and this review will reflect that fact. Cant speak to battery life yet, but in all other aspects they have met my expectations. Given the single alkaline AAA I ran in them, brightness is impressive. Treeline is about 30’ away from the back of my house and they illuminated it well. Youre not going to read a book by the light, but it was bright enough to show the details. I was able to navigate a crowded 2-car garage easily. More of a flood pattern but a slight hot spot as well. If you want a sunbeam from a flashlight look elsewhere. Threads were gritty but easily cleaned. The belt clip is pretty weak which can be somewhat mitigated by removing and bending the non-clamp end in towards the flashlight body but it is still thin/soft metal so don’t expect much. I like that after 15 seconds of being off they revert to the high setting so no cycling between modes.

Good enough for utility work
Bright enough. 180 lumens isn't going to light up the entire basement, but that's not what you're after anyway. Beam spread is kinda tight for general purpose work, but will do for most applications. Works great with 1.2V Eneloop rechargeables. (I haven't run one down yet, so can't report on battery life.) Cap switch is good and has a good feel to it. Half-press mode change activation is predictable. The thing always starts up in full brightness, so that's also predictive. The threads on the cap are raw aluminum, so I -- as always -- cleaned up the threads and treated them with Breakfree to keep them clean and shiny. Machine work is so-so. exterior anodyzing is fine. Yeah, "water resistant." Like a plastic fake-wood fence in the front yard is "runaway car resistant." In other words, don't drop this thing in water. Using it in the rain _might_ be okay. Overall these lights seem like they're okay for five and a half bux apiece. I haven't seen anything better on Amazon for that level of dough, but there are plenty of vendors still to go. Kinda getting tired of buying all this kaka just to see if any of it is any good.

So tiny - fits perfectly in a pocket - and BRIGHT! Love it!
Purchased these mini flashlights for my elderly mother who doesn't like bulky flashlights and she LOVED it! Fits perfectly in a pocket and wow, is it bright! I like too, that the buttons are simple to operate. Some of the other models are too complex for my mom, but this one is perfect. I decided to keep the 2nd one because it's just too adorable and works great!
