Austria is where it is made. But regardless of where it is made, it is well designed for easy cooking .... and clean-up. I had a Forman grill and while it was good for making burgers, it sure was a pain to clean. The only possible negative about this grill is that if you need a grill to be super hot, this one only gets up to around med-high at the max setting. That may or may not be ideal for you

Under "Manufacturer" it actually says Mueller Austria which doesn’t necessarily mean it isn’t made in China but it does say Mueller Austria.

Not long short enough to plug it in the outlet on

Q: Except for the temperature probe, can everything else be put into the dishwasher?

Not intended for dishwasher. Instructions says use a soft cloth and warm water for the grate, warm soapy water for the trip tray and damp cloth for the base, warm soapy water as needed.
