Easy&Fine Dell Battery Replacement M6400 Battery(11.1V 97Wh) M6500 Battery for Dell Precision M6500 8M039 C565C DW554 DW842 F678F G102C J012F

I like this replacement battery for my M6500. It looks/fits just like my original Dell battery did. The original battery is 90Wh but this is only rated at 77Wh - about 15% less. My guess is it's actually a bit less than that. I get between an hour and an hour and a half out of a charge if I'm kind of careful.The battery is physically identical to my old Dell battery. It has the same charge level LEDs and check button. It the same rubber foot nub as my original. In outward appearance and fit it's just like my old Dell battery.I do not expect even a new Dell 90Wh battery to give me the same life it did when my laptop was new - I've got a lot more running on it in terms of applications and Windows 7 has got a lot more in terms of service packs and patches going on. All that take more power.My old battery was giving me a warning and had fairly suddenly dropped to only a few minutes run time on battery. It was time and this fairly inexpensive replacement works well enough for my use however it's rated.Given the low price for this replacement battery I'm not disappointed but also not thrilled that it does not last quite as long as I expected. I think it's a 4 star performance. Pretty good for the low price but does not have me jumping for joy.

The fit was unreasonably tight, requiring a few pounds of pressure to seat the battery. It was the edge of the plastic back (forming the bottom of the laptop) that should have had more clearance.After charging for a couple days, the initial battery run time was over two hours. However, after less than an hour of mostly idle time, a notice appeared indicating less than 24 minutes remaining. It is a big laptop (Precision 6500) but I expected better battery life.

I own a 6 year old m6500 laptop running windows 7. The current battery lasts about 1 hour and 15 minutes while sitting idle. I figured that after 6 years I could replace the battery and get back to the over 2 hours that I use to get. The new battery arrived and was packaged okay. The fit was a little snug but seemed to fit well enough. I charged the battery and then did a test. I allowed the computer to sit idle. At about 1 hour and 20 minutes the battery level was at 20% and the computer shut off. No warning. The original battery would go down to 5% before shutting off while giving a warning to find another power source. I repeated the test 3 times with the same results before I decided to return the battery. There is no listing as to how long the battery should last but I was expecting it to last significantly longer than my 6 year old one.

It's been 2 years since I bought this battery, and it's still strong. Since 4 years is the bes you can usually get with a unit that's left in the laptop all the time, that makes this a great deal. Definitely recommended.

I was able to purchase this battery for a hundred dollars cheaper than if I bought it from Dell. It performs great, I would recommend this vendor to others!

Bought it in June 2019, seven months later it lasts about 15 min.
