COGAT Test Prep Grade 4 Level 10: Gifted and Talented Test Preparation Book - Practice Test/Workbook for Children in Fourth Grade

We wanted to prepare our son for the Cogat exam and couldn’t be happier with this book. There are explanations before every section and plenty of problems so they can get lots of practice. He worked on it a little bit each day for a couple of weeks leading up to the test and did very well!!

I liked this book - it has a workbook (which is actually like a practice test) and an actual practice test. There were more than 300 questions. My son didn't mind doing these questions b/c most of them were different than those he has to do for homework or at school. The Sentence Completion & some of the math sections are similar to material he's had at school, but the other sections are not. He liked the paper folding, even though that one is the most challenging for him.The section at the beginning that explains the logic of the questions is very helpful.I bought this prep book and another for 4th grade & 1 lower & 1 higher. We do a few sections each night.And I like the kid characters in the book.

Pretty good COGAT book, love it

Good book. It has two practice tests, so lots of questions. Lots of practice. Some of the questions made absolutely no sense to me at first, so I'm glad that the answers are explained and that the book has a section which explains question structure. The only thing I didn't like was that the book wasn't in color. This was the first of two COGAT fourth grade books I bought.

Kiddo's about a third of the way through and I found an error. This is the second cogat book we got, both have errors. I will post again if I find more. Annoying!

This workbook is great for COGAT test preparation. This workbook is easy to understand and colorful. I would certainly recommend this workbook for 4th-grade GT students. The workbook has well over 300 practice questions and contains 2 full-length practice tests.The content within this book can be quite challenging and engaging. Although this workbook is good it’s not quite enough. We choose to also use a website called Beestar. They offer a gifted and talented program that provides questions that are very similar to the real test. It has been extremely helpful in preparing my son. I recommend using both this workbook and the website to prepare your GT child.

After exploring a lot of books for my daughter to practice I think this is the best book. I love the way is it organised and explained for parents, it even has tips and advise on how to take the test and a lot of examples to practice before start taking the two enclosed test. while the questions are challenging for kids even sometimes for adults 😬 they are still fun and not overwhelming. At the end you have the answers key for all the questions and all of them are logically explain. Definitely a very useful book.
