BEST SOLUTION FOR DECORATIVE DOORBELL WITH WIRELESS FUNCTIONALITY
Our doorbell wires were cut during a remodel, and too difficult to reconnect. We connected our cute gecko doorbell with new wires to this adapter inside by the door, and wirelessly connected to a Honeywell series 3 plug in chime. Unfortunately the button doorbell light did not turn on, but no big deal, the doorbell works great!! Might be a good thing that the light does not work, would probably drain the battery in the adapter anyway.

Easy Intallation and Set-Up
Super easy to install once you get the old wired doorbell removed. Paired it with the Honeywell Home RDWL915W Series 9 once, years ago, and it's just worked ever since.

Makes wired to wireless chime possible
I could not find other products that bridges wired to wireless chime like this one. It works great with 3 Honeywell Home RDWL917AX2000/E so far. Pairing is instant. This adapter solves the problem with upstairs and basement where I could not hear when someone rings.I hope Honeywell improves the manual how to remove the wire. I hate the connectors in the back and the design makes battery replacement not so easy (especially I hide in a wall). It should draw power from the transformer or at least beeping when battery is low - not only led. Another con is delay. With wireless setup, it delays about 2-3 seconds.

Easy to install, works great
This product allows you to use your existing doorbell pushbutton(s) that have wires running from your doors to a chime unit which you are replacing with a Honeywell series 3, 5, or 9 wireless chime. Relatively easy to install if you just match the wires coming into your chime to the diagram in the box. Note it will accept 2 push buttons (front & back) like most standard chimes. You could add a second unit if you have more wired push buttons.I wanted this unit so I could use a wireless chime in my back yard. I was hoping to use it in parallel with my existing chimes but the current draw of this unit made the existing, mechanical chime not work properly. It would probably work ok in parallel with newer electronic chimes.Since this unit is so much smaller than the existing chimes,I ripped out the guts of the existing chimes and hid this unit inside. see photo

Great product!
I bought this for my elderly parents. They have an older wired door chime that they have a problem hearing sometimes. I attached this to their existing chime. It is small enough to be mounted inside their decorative enclosure. Their existing buttons were lighted and they still are. Someone stated that their lights on their buttons no longer work. I followed the included wiring diagram and all is perfect! I hooked this up to a RDWL313P2000/E Series 3 chime and it worked perfectly. VERY LOUD! I since bought another Series 3 chime and plugged it into their basement. Could not be happier! Been working for at least 4 months now. I also added the included button on the Series 3 chime to a third door that works well with this system.

Very easy to install. Works as it should.
This product was easy to install in to my existing wired doorbell. I took out the old chime and put this in its place. The old chime didn't work with my Google Hello. I installed this by following the existing wiring. Make sure to mark the old wires so you know which go where. Also make sure there's enough wire to make a good connection. I'm glad I found this product.

Bought Amazon used, bad idea. IDT they test things first, probably just condition & pkg contents
First, I’ll say I did purchase an Amazon used product. Which I’ve mostly had pretty decent luck with. The one I received kept sending the signal that my wired doorbell camera was being pushed. Every 15 mins the doorbell was going off. Drove my dogs crazy, and even silencing it, the lights drove me crazy. So I shut it off until next day. At first it was fine. Then I hit the doorbell button. And off it went again. I’m surprised it didn’t kill the batteries in the Honeywell 9 series doorbell. I ended up letting it go for 3 days to see if it would ever quit. Batteries still tested good with a MM, after I’d finally had enough, and disconnected the converter.

Terrible CR2032 Battery Life Makes This Adapter Nearly Useless
I've been using this RPWL4045A2000 Adapter with a traditional wired/illuminated Baldwin doorbell hardwired to a doorbell transformer, and a Honeywell Wireless Doorbell RDWL917AX2000/E for about two years. Everything was hooked up per the Installation Instructions by a licensed electrician. In fairness, the setup does work. However, even though the adapter is hardwired to the transformer, it still requires a CR2032 battery to function, which has proved problematic. Firstly, this seems like a poor design - why can't the adapter draw that 3V of power from the transformer, rather than require a battery? But more importantly, the manual suggests that one should get up to 2 years of battery life with 5 rings per day, yet my doorbell, which gets far less use than that, gets only about 2 months of battery life from each lithium CR2032 battery. Over the past 2 years, I've probably had to swap out the battery more than ten times! More often than not, when someone attempts to ring my front doorbell, it doesn't ring because the CR2032 in the adapter is dead! By contrast, the batteries in the wireless doorbell base have never needed changing. I don't know if my adapter is faulty, because I don't see others complaining about this problem. But good luck trying to get in touch with Honeywell/Residio tech support - typically, they will just place you on hold for about an hour, then disconnect you. Maybe you'll have better luck than I have with this product, but I am tired of constantly having to replace the CR2032 battery in the adapter, and am going to just install a traditional wired chime unit to the transformer, which will ring every time the button is pressed with no doubt, no lag, and will work for fifty years without another thought. Very aggravating experience both with this product and with Honeywell.

Worked with my old wired in bell
Lost access to the attic because of being insulated and couldn’t replace the wire so had to go wireless which was a wast of time because they don’t work. Then I came across this which converts the wired bell to a wireless receiver. Worked great.

Excelente producto para renovar timbre alambrico.
The media could not be loaded.

Works great
Came in less than 2 days right to the door. Hooked it into the existing wired doorbell and paired it with a Honeywell Series 5 wireless doorbell. Now we have a wired doorbell in the basement and main floor and the wireless doorbell in the loft above the garage (or wherever we want to plug it in). Very easy to install.

Excellent combination
Excellent product combination. Using wired button to connect to the wireless converter to control the two wireless doorbell. Now by moving the two wireless doorbell around freely (and loudly), all levels in house can hear the bell. Brilliant multi-doorbell solution for big premises.
