Barge All Purpose Cement Quart (O22721)

It's hard to beat Barge cement. I have used this stuff for years on all sorts of materials and it always does the job. Its my go to rubber cement.

It really is the best for all leather working projects. I’ve used it for bags, rebinding books, belts, etc. The smell isn’t great, but this is still the gold standard for this type of product.

Great stuff!! Adheres strong and flexible for shoe repair. Make sure to use in well-ventilated rooms.

I used this to bond a new rubber sole to a leather upper. I used a mallet to get the best bond. Once it was set up (24 hrs) it was "like one"! Be sure to use an organic respirator and plenty of ventilation as the Toluene will give you a serious headache and potential brain damage. Not to be taken lightly. High VOC content but it works like no other.

Many craftsmen swear by Barge Cement, and justly so. For shoe makers, it is the Best, with little disagreement. For experienced leather workers, well, just say it is the 'go to' product when you want a bond that is permanent and waterproof. the two pieces won't come apart! However, there are some situations where you might need to reposition two pieces befor it sets, and here is where another product will provide a better 'fit' for your project. However, when it comes to gluing two pieces of leather (and other materials) together permanently, I have found no better product! I onlky gave 4 stars because of the repositioning need. Great Product!

Isam not exactly sure why but this contact cement, an least on the leather car seats I am using it on, is noticeably better than the market leading product. It does not appear tho be any different, they both smell of Tolulene, are the same color and consistency, but there is something different and at for my application it works better.

Have used Barge for years, primarily for leather work, but works well for just about any porous surface.

Spreads well, holds well, hands down perfect. Perfect for cosplay.
