The essential oils have a very strong smell. I personally do not find the smell to be unpleasant, and I think most would agree. Smell may linger if you touch other things after handling pad but wipes up easily and no lingering smell once cleaned. I like to use my gloved hand to ball up everything when I’m done and remove glove with everything inside and straight to the bin. These work great I will say. Individually wrapped and ready to go, ez pz. Cuts thru old thermal paste quick and residue wipes up no problem afterwards, doesn’t get much easier. Will buy again.

These wipes do an excellent job to help clean off thermal paste off my cpu. The size of the wipes are perfect and just enough to wipe and clean the messiest applications. Due note, that the smell is strong and may be too much for sensitive noses. Otherwise, a great option over paper and alcohol.

cleans great also removes arctic silver pastes with no problem.

I bought these because I do PC maintenance regularly for people and myself. It’s been a few years since I cleaned up my own PC and I knew the CPU needed fresh thermal paste. I use Arctic MX-4 and these are rated for the MX-4. When you open the package for the actual wipe itself, you get a barrage of the cleaner smell. I don’t mind it but people with sensitive noses might. It took two wipes to remove the old paste and I was clear to apply new paste. They work really well. Good product.

Cleanly removes all thermal paste from dies and heatsinks a bit more easily than a microfiber cloth.Smells like crazy strong sharpies, be prepared to get them out of your living space the same day you use them.

Bought these to help me clean off thermal paste since I recently built my first PC and then decided to clean/ refurbish a lot of my old gaming consoles as well. I did not trust myself to not spill a bunch of isopropyl alcohol, so I purchased these wipes.Holy cow, these work great! Even on old, dried out paste, you'll have components clean and only use one or two wipes! It dries quickly and leaves no residue. You can even wrap them around a q-tip to clean cervices and hard to reach areas.Only issue is the SMELL! Whatever these are fragranced with, it fills your whole house with the scent for days after you use them! I even tossed them in a dog poop bag and the smell STILL filled the house!

Anyone complaining about the smell should wear a mask. It gives me a headache after I accidently leave a pad or two out for a few hours and forget they were not thrown away.This is hands down the best solvent cleaner in the world for pads/years dried on crust/easiest to use/perfect quality/bang for the buck. One pad is enough for an entire antminer hashboard.This is the best alternative to an ultrasonic cleaner. Use any excess of the cleaner on the board with a soft toothbrush and finish with 99% alcohol.

This product deserves zero stars. First, upon receipt, I found it odd that the box "stunk". These are sealed wipes, why would they have any odor. I replaced a Threadripper processor in the morning and used two wipes in the process. I threw them in a open air garage can. In my opinion, they were some of the worst wipes/pads I used (too wet, slow to evaporate). I put the replacement out of mind as I was in and out doing outdoor tasks. I could smell a "sweet" odor on the first floor of my office throughout the day. Last evening I disassembled the main portion of the inside air handling unit, convinced I had a freon/coolant leak. It is difficult to describe, it was like an over the top "sugary cola" odor, but it wasn't pleasant. I think what was happening was every time the air kicked on, that odor was being concentrated in the area I was working (filled about 500sq ft - 38 sealed wipes and 2 used ones in an open air garbage can - opened over 12 hours prior). Glad that i found it this morning, I was about to call the AC company for a system review/repair. Recommendation if you do get them: Keep them sealed air tight and either seal used ones in a separate bag or throw them in an area not near people. I've never had to return wipes before, this is a product that shouldn't exist - flawed in just about every way (sealed, usage, garbage). I figured they would just be standard alcohol wipes made by a reputable company - that is the case. Medical grade prep pads are all you need most times. I use Artic MX-4 and MX-6 grease, no complaints about either of those products. I'm sure this is a case of a company slapping their name on a product, they need to do better.
