I feel like many people buying these sheets are actually looking for a different product or they are imagining something that these sheets are not. These sheets are not real satin. Real satin silk sheets cost a lot of money. These sheets are imitation satin. They are made of polyester. Polyester is plastic thread. You may think that sounds inferior but that is not true. The truth about these sheets is they are a low cost alternative to real satin. That does not make them bad. They are a great price and they do mimic real satin fairly well. The construction is good, they look nice, and they feel nice. I wanted these sheets because I don't like getting tangled up when I toss and turn. These sheets are nice and smooth and don't tangle or get all knotted like cotton. I am happy with this product. The only reason I won't give it 5 stars is because the elastic corners do not stay on my bed because the sheets are so smooth and "silky" that they slip right off the corners of the mattress. This could easily be fixed if the manufacturers would add some silicone banding to the inside of the corners to prevent slipping and grip the mattress. I have heard other reviewers say that these sheets catch on any rough skin like heels or elbows. This is true but that is not the fault of the sheets. Even expensive genuine silk satin sheets will catch on rough skin/calluses. That just indicates that you need to moisturize more. Don't blame the sheets. These sheets are a decent product at a decent price. I think that if you buy these sheets with realistic expectations you will be happy with them.

****Updated many months later. I still use the sheets and would buy them again. The only thing is wash them 3 or 4 times and they get much better.But its impossible to use the pillow case as it is so slippery. If you keep all this in mind they are not bad sheets, its the best price I found for sheets like this, and wow I can't even believe I got them for only $10 on some super sale,that was in December, 2007. Just get them when they are $10 to $20 and you will be happy. I actually bought more of these sheets for $17 in different colors. I would rate this item higher today.Below is what I wrote after trying the sheets out for a week. I was a bit harsh but they do get better the more you wash:I bought these sheets when they were only $10 here on amazon.For $30 they seem to be a rip off. I have had other satin sheets and in this case you can tell they are lower quality.They tend to be a bit rough and almost slippery, I wish they were softer. The thread count on the packages says 230.I have had them for a week and I am still wondering whether to take them off or maybe I will get use to it, or if they will change over time.I would recommend them if they go back down to $10 but for $30, they are not worth it.

I was recently put on sleeping meds because I was only sleeping 2 or 3 hours a night and it was affecting my daily life. I decided to upgrade my bed to make it more enticing to sleep in. I love how silky and smooth these sheets are! The softness is a great encouragement for me to sleep! They are also nice and cool, so I don't overheat or sweat in my sleep, which is a plus. We don't turn on our AC until it's 90+ outside, so having nice, cool sheets is wonderful!My only negative comment about these sheets is how often they pop off of the corners, which happens with any silk sheet set. I am a very active sleeper, who tosses and turns a lot. I often have sheets come off the bed, but these silk sheets pop off a little too often for my liking. I usually just make sure to tuck the sheets in tightly each night before bed. This helps make it through the night without too much bother, though I have had to re-tuck in the middle of the night. Other than that, I really like these sheets and I am very please with this purchase!

I was so excited to try this satin sheet on my brand new bed-I was little dispointed at the fact that Ivory sheet is much more like a golden in color then ivory in the picture- =( anyhow, when you first open them out of its package, i do have to admit that it gave me a very cheap sheet feel to it with all the folding creases.But trust me, once you put it on your bed and work out the creases you are going to start liking it. And then when you started to sleep on it, you will started to LOVE it!! its so soft to skin, and keep you cool all night long. Unlike all the reviews complaining about sheets popping off the bed, mine had stay in bed for past 5 days without a porblem. I do little issue with pillow being really slippery and sliding all over the place, but if you use current pillow case, which i think is little more elegant to NOT use same color pillow case and sheet =P, it wont be a issue.Thus so far, i am loving it, and i will recommend it to anyone who wants to try the whole new feel of satin vs traditional cotton sheet. =)

This product is definitely amazing and for the price! I don’t have much problems other for one thing I didn’t take into account. It is so slippery! Making the bed is hard because all my blankets easily slide. If you sleep with the satin pillow case, put a blanket underneath or else you will be sliding all night!

Pretty sheets but very slick… everything slips right off the bed! Lol. Also the color is described as ivory but much more of a white. The material is not soft holds heat. I am NOT a hot sleeper and these sheets made me really hot at night.
