The future is now.
Keep anyone out. I took apart the wrist strap and removed the "key" and installed it into a cheap watch for undetectable stealth. Quality materials and will last until the metal dissipates in a few hundred years with the mechanism that is installed.

Sturdy and Useful... but not foolproof
WARRANTY - one year with lots of handwaving about needing written permission to return.WHAT YOU GET - a sturdy metal box; a magnifying glass, batteries, pill trays, mounting screws and mollys, the RFID devices. Also a magnetic 'white board' and marker. An emergency battery back up.Generally speaking whether you like this medicine case will depend on what you plan on using it for. As others have noted the design isn't one that is going to keep a determined theft from gaining entry. Heck, someone could just pull it off the wall and walk off with it. THIS doesn't really effect how I'm assessing the use because I have two purposes to which I want to put it.The first use is merely to have our more adult/dangerous medications locked away where visitors can't see what we're taking and can't easily take what they're seeing. The other use I wanted to use it for was traveling. I'd really like to have something that inhibits exploration of our meds by hotel staff. Yes, they could still take the whole box, and if they had a crowbar or screwdriver they might be able to gain entry, but again, if they did that they would leave evidence behind and that's good enough for the police to know that we didn't just misplace our goods.OTHER uses I can imagine are in a home with a person who is suffering from a cognitive problem. It could be mild dementia or the result of injury or the medication itself; this box could help you keep control of when the medication is taken. I know that sometimes when ill it's difficult to remember when you took the last dose. If you're caring for someone like that then this can help you make sure that they don't take them too close together.SUMMARYI like that you can mount this on the wall, or you can slide it into a drawer. We're using it on a high shelf. There is room for tall bottles and the inside has a section which is divided a shelf. I think most tall bottle of pills will fit there.I had thought to use this for travel, and might yet, but there is nothing to keep the meds from rolling around. What I will probably do is putt the little bottles into baggies. The functionality of a deterrent to hotel staff will still be there.

DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!
Do not buy this, It locked my medication in the box and it would not open. It doesn’t have a key or any other way to open the box if something goes wrong with the batteries. I put my medicine in the first day I got it and the very next morning I couldn’t get the box to open. I have to break it open to get my medicine out.

Med-Master Premium Steel Medicine Case
Being older generally means that you have some type of medication that could be harmful to young ones, so being in that category, I thought I would investigate this unit as an option to keep the kids safe when they were visiting. Here is what i found: 1. This is a light weight metal box that can be either wall mounted (screws and anchors provided) can be placed in a drawer (though leaving in there and trying to use it means the door wants to constantly close on you) or placing it directly on the counter (there are little silicon feet attached to protect your counter top). There is also a carry handle that you can either use or not, depending upon your use. It comes with the handle detached and plugs in the holes where the handle would go. The handle and its mounting hardware are included in a small bag. 2. The door is designed with an inexpensive RFID lock that does its job very well. It runs on 4 AA batteries (included) and there is a separate backup battery pack (no batteries included, requires 4 AA batteries) to use if you let the batteries in the unit go down to where they will not open the cabinet. There is a plastic security catch that keeps the door from falling open (something it wants to do when you use the RFID key on it). You need to reach in and press down on it to release the door. This might be a problem if you have stiff fingers!! 3. They include a tray for laying out your pills on and a magnifying glass that has an led light in it. The unit is glass with a plastic handle. Functional and should last as long as it is not dropped a lot. The problem comes in with the battery compartment. Be VERY careful inserting batteries (they need to go BETWEEN the thin wire and the thicker wire) as closing the screw top tends to twist the top wire out of shape so that the light does not work! It took me several tries and several times of straightening the wire to get it to close and work!!!!!! You may just want to ignore the light and avoid the aggravation!!! 4. There is a partial shelf inside to help you view your medications and to store them in order. 5. This unit is NOT designed to prevent theft!!! It is designed to keep prying eyes off of what you are taking and to keep small children safe! Anyone wanting to get at the contents of this unit can do so fairly quickly. 6. The manual states that there is a screw in the battery compartment in the inside of the unit that you need to remove a screw from to open. In my unit, that screw did not exist and the cover just slid open easily. 7. The external battery backup compartment is ok, but not well built. Be aware that the wires tend to stick out and if you close the cover on them, you can cut the wire!!!! So, carefully push the wires back into the case before closing the battery compartment. Each time you open it, the wires tend to want to come out. 8. The RFID cards are ok and work just fine. The bracelet is a joke and I am not sure why anyone would want it or that anyone would be caught wearing it! It looks like it was designed for a child. All in all, this is an ok unit that can provide some peace of mind about a small child gaining easy access to medications. Just do not delude yourself into thinking it will keep anyone out that wants in.
