TOO SMALL? What are you using them for?
I own quite a bit of GSI product and every single part of their product line is fantastic. I noticed so many people mentioning how small the spatula and Spoon were, are you sure you're using it for the right application? This particular utensil.set is meant for backpacking cooksets, if you think this is the set for car camping you have picked the wrong model. They are perfectly sized and perfectly functional and well-appointed for a backpacking cookset. This changes backpacking cooking to luxury. If you're looking for a bigger set look at the crossover, otherwise the other two car camping sets are also remarkable. Two thumbs up from me.The pictured cookset is the GSI mess kit extreme, even it is considered a large cookset for backpacking.

Smaller than I'd hoped it would be.
The picture doesn't really illustrate the actual size of the pieces. The spoon is about 20% longer than a standard kitchen spoon, and it holds about one tablespoon. The spatula is a little over six inches long, the flat part is two inches wide at the end. Both are lightweight plastic and will fit in my cookset, but I don't think they'll be as valuable as I'd hoped; I can't imagine trying to flip a pancake or an omelet. I'm not sure what I'll do with the condiment pouches either. They are 2 fluid ounces each. Not pictured is a flip-top cap for each pouch.

Right size for backpacking!
I just received my set and it is just as advertised. I was looking for a set for backpacking so the size is perfect. The spatula is small but sturdy. I'm not going to use it for flipping pancakes but to saute and stir. It's small and weighs next to nothing, actually the whole set is small and weighs next to nothing. The spoon is actually full sized and it also is light and sturdy. No problem using the spoon to eat. The condiment containers are small and I see them being used for day trips to trips of a few days. Same for the shaker. The scrubber seems to be tough and durable. The towel should work fine while cooking and for clean up. I added a bottle of camp suds and a GSI rubber scraper and everything fits just fine in the included mesh drawstring bag. Very light, very compact, perfect for backpacking!

Don't buy this
Is this a joke? This looks like untensils for a doll house PLUS the spoon was broken. The spatula is about 1 and 1/2 inches wide. Dont waste your money.

The spatula is comically small.
It’s a pretty nice little set. As other reviewers have mentioned, the spatula is comically small. I bought this knowing that anyway since my main purpose for the spatula is to scramble some eggs. I certainly wouldn’t trust it to flip a steak. Everything else in the package is reasonably sized and appears to be of good quality.

spatula is TEENY TINY! like smaller than a business card!
There was a crazy price plummet-almost got for as much as the S&P shaker alone so I got it. I did actually previewed pics of the teeny tiny spatula (two eggs 3/4" high (or one egg in tiny pan) flipping max capacity or a pancake made with one mini ladle included in this set) so I knew what to expect. When/IF? I ever go out to sit down eat again, it will be a great piece of mind having my own condiments. I will let my 6 yo. have the spatula and ladle for his cooking set as they are appropriately sized for his pancakes and eggs.

smaller than expected but good quality,
you know, for the price it isnt bad, and it got me through a weekend camping trip so it did its job, the saltshaker and containers are by far what i like best out of the kit, i ended up using one for dishsoap (blue for washing) and the yellow one for olive oil for cooking, salt shaker could have been bigger but it carried enough to only where we ran out of pepper the 3rd day.If you are car camping, or overlanding or even camping for more than a day or two id pass up this set the spoon is roughly the size of a large soup spoon, infact the walmart $2 camping bundles that come with knife/fork/spoon was about the same size, the spatula is roughly 1.5x wider than a normal large fork. so it makes flipping stuff like eggs a PITA.If you are backpacking, this , a mini jetstove and single pan setup would be a hard combo to beat. its light and takes up no room mainly due to the above mentioned small utensil size, you dont even need to carry a spoon just use this ladle.now i have GSI's nform crossover pan set, comes with the fying pan 3l pot 2lpot, plates cups "bowls"(really just a sleeve off the cup) a handle and it all nests together into a pouch the size of the 3l pot and I loved it, I've only gotten to use it once so far but i was so impressed with it i wanted to give this kitchen tool set a try unfortunately it just didnt live up to the wow factor of their pan set,

Way too small
I was going to use this product for camping, but when I got it I didn’t realize how very small these are. The utensils are smaller then a kids kitchen set. Wouldn’t recommend.

gsi outdoors kitchen 8 pack utensils
i am pleased with the gsi outdoors 8 piece kitchen set ,the salt and pepper shaker is a little heavy but then if you are bringing this then you are not worried about going ultralight weight as you are bringing a camping stove you can cook food on ie a trangia or something similar not something that only boils water for a freeze dried meal
