Sweet and funny
This is essentially a foodie manga set in the Fate universe, but since its canon that Shirou emiya is a master cook it all fits in.The mood of the stories and sweet and fun, a nice change of pace for a series where characters usually try to kill each other, so its great to see just a happy world where they coexist together peacefully, sometimes sharing a nice home made meal in the same room.

Excellent localization
I've never heard of Denpa publications, but they did a really nice job with the quality of the print. The paper quality is already much better than what you get from Yen Press and Kodansha. The french flaps having the artwork from the japanese edition's dust jacket -less cover is nice. For the actual manga itself, this will easily become a favorite for fans of Fate, slice of life, and of course, food/cooking. This spin off / alternate reality basically makes cooking/eating segments from the visual novel the main event, but without the holy grail war going on(and not boring). There are recipes after each chapter if you want to attempt to mimic Shirou's Cooking ability as well.

I LOVE cooking manga, but --
But this is the most boring thing I've read in ages. Most cooking manga use cooking and food as a central device to hold a larger story together, to bring characters and situations about that might not otherwise be possible. A failing restaurant tries exotic, or even crazy things, to get back on their feet. A lonely widower and his daughter bond over learning to cook together. Two shy, lonely men fall in love after seeing each other at the grocery store night after night. This thing? Not even the remotest semblance of a story. The closest thing it gets is, "I went swimming and now I'm tired. What's easy to make?"It's basically just an illustrated cook-book and there's not even anything particularly interesting about the food choices. I was bored mindless waiting for something, anything at all, to happen.I guess you have to really love the Fate series to forgive this dreck. If it wasn't for the quite-good art, I'd give it a single star.
