The Family Man [Blu-ray]

I hope this ia released with better resolution someday. The sound seems better than the DVD. The picture is no better than DVD quality.

Nick Cage does well in this and I'm a huge fan of Téa Leoni who shines as well! Fantasy and action, lots of laughs

We’ve all had the,”What if…!?” thought… in some way or fashion! Well… this is that type of afeel good movie!!While but a small part of it is Christmassy… in my opinion… it a Christmas classic that look to see amidst all the other seasonal movies yearly. Enjoy!

Love this film, always have and they didva great job on the upgraded blu ray. I hope they upgrade this movie to 4k

Movie is great. No issues there. One of my FAVS. Really teaches appreciation for what is important in life. Although others may see it differently, that is why I love this movie so much. Nicolas Cage and Tea Leoni have great chemistry in this Christmas flick.Two things I have issues with. Nothing that can't be fixed. And nothing to get our tail feathers in a twist about, but still, it does need to be noted.1) Mine like others does also have the sticker affixed to the front of the package (see in attached picture) stating digital copy included. However, I did not anticipate any included as I always read the descriptions of products throughly before purchasing. Had it said "Blu ray + Digital included" in the description, I would have been a bit frustrated opening the package to find it was not included. BUT, it never states that on the description, so can't complain. It would have been SUPER for a digital copy to be included in this price, as like Walmart does for many of their $7 buck blu ray + digital combos. 😊2) The other issue is, the copy I actually received is defective. In playing the movie, every 4 seconds there is a skip/shutter to the film. And it continues from before the movie starts to throughout. Can't get past this one. It's just too much to be able enjoy the movie as intended. The disk itself looks to be good, smooth and without scratches. However, it still skips/shutters every 4 seconds. So I will be returning and attempting to purchase another in hopes it will be without the latter issue.Other than that, shipping was fast and on time. Bought it in the "Same Day Prime" before noon. Arrived that evening about 9 pm. Happy about that. Hope this helps anyone trying to decide on a purchase.Will update with new copy I receive. (Hopefully minus the skip/shutter) Happy watching!!

This is a film we watch every year around the Christmas season. While not completely a Christmas film, it certainly is loosely based on the Classic tale "A Christmas Carol". Cage is at his best here, as well as Tea Leoni. While it does have Christmas scenes, you could watch this any time of year and enjoy it. For me, particularly because of Leoni's performance, this is 5 Star stuff!

Great to have this in HD, hate people talking about transfers, if you want it to pop just up the sharpness, I doubt they'd like about it being HD.

Blu-ray quality no better than DVD poor transfer

A friend told me about 5 years ago that The Family Man was a very slick redux of 'It's a Wonderful Life' with Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed ( A Frank Capra film ) in kind of reverse... with a twist. I had already seen it a couple times but did not pick up that angle... But the directing, acting and just really everything is superb. It gives food for thought that just because you think that you have it made and you think things couldn't be any more perfect... well they might not be as perfect as you thought. Just a truly excellent film. I promptly after seeing it this time, sent a copy to a friend in Canada...

Excellent film! Je ne m'en tanne pas. Un voyage dans ce qui aurait pu être sa vie en faisant le bon choix! L'homme d'affaire se réveillera avec une femme et deux enfants. Cette "illusion" deviendra pour lui des plus attachantes!
