This knife block has a nice strong magnet and holds all my knives. It is high quality and was simple to put together. It takes up a lot less space than my previous wood blocks and is a lot more convenient for knife access and putting them away. No more struggling with sliding knives into the slots and trying not to mess up their blades on the wood. I think this block will also be easier to keep free of dust than the traditional blocks. I bought one for my son also.

Very well made. Beautiful Acacia wood. The magnetism is very strong. I have a heavy Chinese meat cleaver and it holds it firmly! None of my knives slide off, it presents your knives very nicely. 2 screws need to attach the base with is 8ndeed included. As long as you keep the screw straight while you turn the screws you should have no issues. If you screw them in slightly off you have issues with tightness. If you strip the wood while tightening the screws, the base will become loose and will never tighten....

Sometimes, we never know what we are going to get when we order kitchen supplies from Amazon. But this time, we are extremely pleased with this wooden magnetic knife block. From the additional thank you note in the very well packed box to the ease of putting the stand on to the magnetic "lock" on the knives--this was a GREAT purchase. The icing on top is that is is very compact so it will not take up much counter space, but all the knives are still easily accessible. The cherry on top--the finish and the wood used is superb and beautiful. And to be honest, this is higher quality than the acacia wood cutting board I purchased earlier this year that was originally priced 3 times higher than this premium block. Well done WLM!!!!!!
