This is a perfect cheap alternative to buying an expensive OEM part. The finish and feel is very premium and the the hood works as intended. No need to spend money on OEM gear unless you think gear works better when it has your lens brand printed on it.

If you are in need of a lens hood for your 75mm F.18 M.Zuiko lens, don't think twice - Just buy it!For the price this is a quality product, its full metal and not the cheap thin type, its built well and looks very stylish and the color matches the lens perfectly. The aluminum reminds a lot of the way my Macbook Pro feels, cold to the touch, smooth and premium!The one negative feedback I will leave which unfortunately for me knocks down a star, should still not impact your buying decision but I leave it for the supplier to provide a slightly more value proposition given the steep price are charging for this.I feel that over time the the screw that tightens the lens hood will loosen up as you constantly dismount the lens, the solution? keep the lens hood always attached but thats not practical if you use a lens cap to protect the front element. You cannot use it with this hood attached, you will need to loosen the hood, dismount it every time, that process becomes tedious especially if you are a working photographer.So whats the solution? Include a lens cap that fits on to the hood itself. There are Haoge lens hoods that provide a lens hood but this one does not!If including a lens hood adds too much to manufacturing cost, then lets keep it simple! add an additional screw as a spare!All things considered its a great lens hood and I own many of Haoge lens hood and will continue to purchase them but I really do feel this lens hood needs its own lens cap or at least an additional screw for long term usage.

Fits perfectly on the Olympus 75mm f1.8 prime lens. ID of hood matches OD of lens nicely, 1/4 turn of thumb screw is all it takes to tighten or loosen. I expected cheap thin gage aluminum. NOT!, It's nice and heavenly, no seams, beautiful finish. Its a hood for cryin' out loud!!! Why pay Olympus more than twice as much for something they should have given you with the lens! ($29 vs $62) LOVE IT.

The lens hood was a perfect for my Olympus 75mm f/1.8 lens. The lens hood is metal from what I can tell. Seems quite solid. When cinched down I can attach and detach the lens from the camera by grabbing the lens hood. Overall I like it.

First, no complaints at all about this hood. It does exactly what it's supposed to, is well made, and less expensive. But it's almost impossible to get the lens cap off. Fix this problem, and find a way to reverse the hood for storage, and it's perfect.

It works fine, made out of cheap plastic for about right for what I paid for it.

Solid metal, quality build, nice finish. Fits perfectly. For the cost of the lens, Olympus should have included a hood. But they didn't. So grab this instead over the overpriced Oly original.

The precision fit and simple screw tightening are winners for the Olympus MFT 75mm lens.

Very high quality at a cheaper price than original equipment. The inside of the tube is flat black but not flocked. Reverses on the lens for compact storage and protection. Fit and finish is excellent .

Il m'aura suffit d'une seule session de photographie au soleil rasant avec le 75mm d'Olympus pour comprendre que le pare-soleil était absolument indispensable. Celui d'origine étant vraiment trop cher et difficile à trouver, celui-ci est donc l'une des seules alternatives. Il a une bonne construction tout métal, parfait en pratique mais malgré tout pas donné pour ce que c'est.

If you are thinking of buying the original, don't. Save your money because this product is of very high quality. Very surprising for the price. Its a no brainer if you own the fabulous M.75 Olympus. A+
