What a difference this makes
I love these LED lights over my kitchen counter! They are exceptionally bright and very easy to dim with simply holding your hand beneath the light for a few seconds, or brighten by just the motion of your hand.

Easy to install, and super bright or as dim as you like!
Bought these lights after seeing the great reviews, and I now see why they had great reviews! The lights are of high quality, and they work exactly as described. I did have a large gap where I had to skip over an over the range microwave that has its own led lights shining down. I ended up splicing 2 of the cables together to make the cable longer. Worked perfectly. Only thing I wish it had would be Wi-Fi control to turn on with phone or Alexa. But definitely not a deal breaker, they work and look awesome! Highly recommended for sure!

I am buying them again. Good led.
They were working without the problem for 6 years. Finally they start flickering. I thing it's my fault because I have electric kattle... heat and steam go straight to the sensor.... And it was working like that for last 3 years. I am buying again right now.

These should be more than five stars!
We have an "L" shaped kitchen with two areas where, when standing in front of the under-cabinet countertops, my own shadow almost entirely blocks out the the light from the ceiling mounted 48" fluorescents-in-a-box-with-a-plastic-lens. When we first moved in it seemed the only solution was to install four--one in one area and three in the other area--under-cabinet halogen fixtures. That worked leaving only two problems: One, the backs of my wife's hands suffered sunburn and two, cold food on the countertop became warm food within 20 minutes. We opted for the halogen lamps not because we wanted sunburned knuckles or warm food but rather back in those days eight inch fluorescents didn't provide any useful light. Well, really the halogen gave us three problems: The carrier for the halogens seemed to have been designed for use on a battleship as they were large, operating-room white and therefore pretty much ugly. Then, there was lamp cord running to 110v outlets. Functional but not so beautiful. My wife got used to the burned knuckles, warm food and ugliness (sorta) but then one day--thank heavens--a lamp burned out prompting me to look on Amazon (really, where else would I look?) not for a replacement lamp but for replacement fixtures. Oh, there are so many; it was hard to choose. Because of less heat--which means a lot less electricity use--and a much more compact design, the only possible solution was going to be LED's. Yeah, but that still left a whole lot from which to choose. Then I found what I believe to be the only brand which included not only "wave your hand to turn on or off" but also "hold your hand under the "switch" and either dim or brighten the LEDs." Neat! And, they were so sleek and clean, they'd be all but invisible when looking at the area... what a great solution to getting rid of ugliness. Oh, one more thing: These countertops are work areas and therefore "daylight" lighting (6,000° Kelvin... pretty close to sunlight as opposed to kinda yellow light) would work best. So, I ordered one 20" eShine panel and one kit of four almost 12" panels, 6,000° K. Two days later I was holding them up trying to figure out how they'd look and how best to attach them to the bottom of the cabinets. The included instructions were clear and useful. The connectors and the over all design and manufacture of each component was obviously triple A quality. The inter-panel connectors came in both a "solid" strip, i.e., one continuous strip version and in a-chain-each-panel-by-wire (each about 36") version. And, I could attach the panels by screws (supplied) or by two sided (3M, no less) tape (supplied). There was even a goodly number of stick-up cable managers, supplied. eShine thought of everything; perfect!I attached all five panels using screws. Putting up all five panels took me about 90 minutes (I tend to be both slow and careful having graduated from the Measure Twice, Cut Once School) but that includes taking down the old fixtures and taking then out to the landfill can, aka. the trash can. Sad. Very. The finished job looks great. The fixtures work great and they cast truly excellent light. A perfect solution. I am very pleased... so's my wife and, around here, that really matters. These eShine panels get at least eight stars, for sure.(Notes: Hard to get a good image. The lights overexpose the image. What actually shows is aluminum but what you see here is reflected cabinet color. One image tries to demonstrate 6,000°K.)

Motion detection works, but...
Anything touch free in a kitchen is a huge plus for cleanliness, but be mindful of where you mount the light bar with the sensor. If it's too close to the stove, steam will cause it to flicker. It makes for interesting party lights in the kitchen, but it's really annoying when you're trying to cook

Easy to install, good product, could be better
I installed this a few days ago. Installation is pretty easy and the lights are nice and bright.Overall I'm pretty satisfied with this product.A couple things that IMO would make this product better would be to either provide longer power cables or to add a second power output jack to the main light with the IR sensor. Currently, the IR sensor has to be the first light in the chain which really limit how you can arrange the lights. If you have a row of cabinets, you can't arrange it to make the IR sensor in the middle cabinet, it has to be in the installed under one of the end cabinets which kinda sucks. In my case, I installed the main light w/ IR sensor under the microwave then connected the rest of the lights under the cabinets going to the right...I have another cabinet to the left of the microwave that I wasn't able to install the light because the power cables provided aren't long enough. It still works for me since I put a toaster oven there so it doesn't look so weird.Another thing is to make the detection range of the IR sensor further. I think your hand has to be as close as 3 or 4 inches before it's detected by the sensor.

Love the colour of these lights,
Liked the ease in installation however, I figured out why everyone said be careful about placement. We assumed it meant that the light stripes needed to be 4 inches away from walls, or any other hard surface. What they should have said is watch for the tiny little notice on the light stripe that has the sensor which tells you which direction to place the first light. Failure to do that correctly just means the light will not dim or turn off at the wave of a hand, you'll have to unplug it. Oh well, live and learn. I still love the daylight colour of the lights, brightens my kitchen completely.

An easy and flexible DIY.
I used these for under kitchen shelves over the sink and counter. The design ensures a perfectly diffused lighting while still being sufficiently bright to ensure a well-lit working area. The hands-free dimmer control takes a little practice but works great without worrying about transferring food or water to the lights themselves. Installation proved difficult trying to use the screws and working over the counter in an upward direction but the sticky strips worked perfectly for a smooth install. I joined two light banks together over the sink then split the third using one of the extension cords to spread the light further down the counter. Very happy with the results.
