Whip 85g

Possibly the best American Crew product out there. Amazing when used on wet or damp hair, styled and then blow dried. It gives a natural-looking finish and feels nice in my hair when I run my fingers through it. It has a mild, inoffensive mint smell that doesn't interfere with personal fragrance. It has a decent amount of hold for something that is described as 'light hold'. Perfect for longer hair. I am using this more and more since I started growing my hair out. Rinses out easily with water. I read that the founder of American Crew David Racugla (spelling?) uses this as his favourite product - he has longer hair. I would compare it to a mousse, as it is very light in texture, but it has much better hold and finish to any that I have tried. Excellent for blowdrying into swet hair and has a great memory effect that you can easily re-style throughout the day. I have tried many hair products from many brands over many years and would place American Crew Whip and O'Doud's Styling Treatment on joint 1st place.

Good texture for styling my husbands hair.

Really good styling cream, it's nice and light, I have medium length hair and it adds a really nice shine and touchable texture to my hair, I use it when I just want a nice relaxed look and no stiffness to my hair but some control throughout the day, top product.

The best non-spray hair styling product I have found to date. The consistency is just right and the hold just enough. The fragrance is also pleasant.

Amercisn crew greatness not too sticy. Not to gloopy. Good for mid length

I had high hopes for this new American Crew product. AC being a premium hair product company with a premium price tag to match. I have mid length har - about the length of my adult male fingers.. I tried using this on blow dried styled hair and it made the hair lank and oily within an hour. I tried it on dam hair pre-blow drying and this was a disaster, it just gave my hair the feeling of not drying due to its excessively oily nature which the low heat of the hair dryer exacerbated. This is billed as a light weight re-mouldable hair cream. In reality it is one of those non-setting greasy potions that slowly seems to become more and more and more and coats everything in oil and sticks your hair onto your head like you got caught in the rain. Total waste of £18.. it offers absolutely no hair styling properties at all.

Decent

Let’s start with the good things about the American Crew Whip. It has a great texture which is easy to manipulate both in your hands and then in the hair. It is soft and pliable, creamy and washes off your hands easily – leaving no stickiness. It is very easy to apply to dry or wet hair and seems to shape the hair readily. It is marketed as light hold and this is true. It keeps the hair in a reasonable shape but does need reshaping, or reforming regularly. It isn’t strong enough for windy days and probably ought to be reapplied part way through the day. Then the less positive things about the hair whip: the smell is a very slight mint. I suppose some might like this but it is odd to get a whiff of mint from your hair and I wondered what other people could smell if they were near me. It wouldn’t be my first choir for a hair product aroma. But the biggest issues for me was its appearance. It is labelled as natural shine and only one of those words is true. Yes it shines, but it isn’t the natural shine of healthy hair. It looks as if you have greasy hair which needs a wash. This was disappointing as I really like the texture and the ease of applying it, but to then look as if I hadn’t bothered means I shall not use this very often.

Außer das sie irgendwie leicht aber seltsam nach Minze riecht ist das Produkt richtig gut. Lässt das Haar leicht, fluffig und verklebt nicht.

Gives what I think is a perfect amount of hold without being really noticeable. It doesn't dry hard or sticky. Nor does it give my hair a wet or greasy look or feel. It just adds texture and moisture so that my hair is manageable, stays where I put it, and doesn't look dry or flyaway. Honestly, after applying this, I can just run my fingers through my hair and it falls into place. No comb required. A little pricey, but then it really takes very little so it lasts a long time. Didn't rate the "drying power" because it didn't seem to apply.
