Fun for hours, and days even!
These are epic! I got them for my baby and I swear me and my hubs played with them just as much as he did. They lasted us for a full week of play, so super affordable and giftable too. Purchased for a few gifts after, and they’re a kid favorite.Important things to note: Allow 24 hrs to fully expand. So put them in water, a lot of water because they keep expanding, the day before you wanna use them. The balls are super tiny before plumping up so do not put them in your sink or bathtub until they’re fully plump because they can go down the drain. We used them in a big bowl, baby bath, normal bath, then when we were done we smushed them and broken them up on baking sheets - they’re so versatile and lasted so long! I think he summer we will fill our kiddie pool with them too. Also a little goes a long way. We used not even 1/4 of the bottle for our first round of play in the baby bath tub. In a kiddie pool I’d prob use a full bottle.

These are not biodegradeable and probably not suited for use around pets.
My grandson loved playing with them. This container will make a LOT of beads. Enough to put in a small kiddie pool to play in. Probably not advisable if you have pets that may want to eat them. The longer you leave them soaking, the larger they get. Again - this really makes tons of beads. Good quality. What we expected.

These are really fun, but super small
If you had your heart set on some plump sized water beads, these are not it. These are pretty tiny even at full size. I would say small pea sized at max. (See pic for size reference, with a tape dispenser to use for comparing.) Are they still fun? Totally! Do you get a great deal for the few bucks they cost. For sure. That teeny amount I poured out of the top of my dry container made TWO of the containers to the right completely full of fattened water beads (I poured some out to use elsewhere before this picture.) Other reviewers said you could make more than a 5 gallon bucket full of them if you poured them all out at once, and I have no reason to doubt that--these things grow and grow over several hours. They are super slippery and bouncy and fun to feel, but I have played with some that were even bigger and they were a bit more fun to play in, hence the one star removal. I love the little container they came in for storing them in, it is super cute and nice and sturdy. I just wish the plumped ones were a bit larger. But do these do what any water bead will do? Yep! They do--they grow fat and are fun to play in. I also plan to use them to decorate some glass jars and to grow a "lucky bamboo" plant with only water and these guys (no dirt). I would say look for some of the reviews that have size comparisons between the brands if you care about getting bigger ones. There were a couple of useful ones in the other comments :) If you just want a bunch of inexpensive water beads to play with tho, these are a very good buy. Have fun!

Good amount for the price
The media could not be loaded. I enjoy the variety of colors and appreciate the amount of water beads that are in that small container. These work like orbeez but you get more for a better price. These are great for houseplants and sensory bins.

10 dollars gone to waste. " They were for my 6 year old ...
I know you're wondering if I have Amazonian hands based on the first picture. The package these things came in brought a whirlwind of emotion. At first I thought I got jipped. These things are tiny fish food sized pellets. I figured "whatever. 10 dollars gone to waste." They were for my 6 year old so no harm no foul. I decided to try out a couple in a water glass. Like 6 or 7. It took about an hour and a half to grow to it's full size. After seeing the testers grow, I figured I'd try a larger sample. Let me tell you. What a satisfying experience. The two in my hand are the comparable sizes. Max size and just soaked for 10 minutes. I poured about 1/3 of the tub into a fairly large Tupperware bowl.. They ended up outgrowing the original bowl and I had to disperse them through another large bowl. Running my fingers through these little beads is so amazingly therapeutic. I know they started out for my 6 year old, but I've played with them about 10x more than he has. I can definitely imagine soaking in a tub with these things... The only downfall is they take a while to grow. I would suggest presoaking for a while and then store until you want to use them.Edit. After soaking for a few hours, they started to overflow from the two bowls. I despersed then evenly between 3 popcorn bowls.. I added water to just above the top layer of beads in case they grow more. I added the jug to show I didn't add more beads. So yeah. Not really sure what I was actually expecting but this has far exceeded my non-existent expectations.

Small
These were much smaller than I thought they would be. Make sure to look at the size before you buy them.
