My Bradford White 50 gallon water heater decided one day the pilot light would not stay on when I switched from PILOT to ON. After a couple YouTube videos I came to suspect the thermal switch. I tested it by jumping the 2 connectors with a paper clip. Sure enough the pilot stayed on. Ordered this switch from the numbers printed on the switch itself. Perfect fit and application. So pleased. These type of thermal/ overheat switches are on other water heaters as well, so same concept can apply! Saved hundreds from a plumber- and much more to replace the water heater! Perfect!!
OMG I am BEYOND happy!! This tiny little piece is what was wrong with my water heater!! This tiny little thing that cost next to nothing was like our last stop before replacing the whole thing. For those trying to figure out why your water heater won't stay lit, GET THIS before spending money replacing the thermocouple & pilot, the control panel and hiring a plumber that literally comes out and blows the dust out for $95!Yay! HOT WATER!!!
