How many of us have accidentally left a piece of silverware in the garbage disposal without knowing it, until, that is, you turned it on and heard a loud clanking noise? (I raised my hand) I've not done this once or twice, but multiple times. One would think that I would've known better or should've sought out something sooner. I won't dispute any of that but I was not aware that something like this existed. I know that there are drain covers (old fashion type) but did not realize that there are options for covering the garbage disposal.After shopping around on Amazon, I decided to settle on this particular cover. Reason being: it's made of stainless steel metal, not plastic. After carefully considering the other reviews, I expected that this cover would do the job, albeit, with a fault of it being slow to drain liquids. Yes, it is a bit slower but I did not find it to be a show stopper. In fact, it makes me look twice to see if there may be something in the basket which may be causing it to drain slower.I'm very content with this particular unit. It's doing what we expected it to do. My only wish was that there was some sort of magnet or something which would make the drain covers seat more firmly over the sink drain. Perhaps wishful thinking on my part but hey, it's a thought!PROS: Stainless steel, well-made quality, easy to useCONS: None noted other than what I described above

I needed to replace my sink strainers. I have a big black cat that likes to move stuff in the house and he used to pick up the old style strainers by the little knob thing and I was always waking up to find them in my bed. Put these in and problem solved. They happen to look nice and work well also.

I am very happy with my order of this Set of 2 Stainless Steel Sink Strainers by Axetos!Before I got this set I was using the old strainers that came with the sink and they have very large holes. Because the holes are so large any food smaller than a quarter would go right down the drain. This was starting to cause many problems like the water not properly draining. I knew I had to find a new set of strainers so I started looking but failed to find any at a reasonable price. I finally came across this set and knew it was a great deal that I couldn't ignore. I never measured my sink so when I saw that they claimed these strainers were a perfect fit for almost all US kitchen sinks, I had to try it. My sinks are almost 20 years old and these still fit them perfectly!I'm very happy that I gave these strainers a try and I highly recommend this set to everyone!

Very nice looking strainers. Work great. Only minor complaint is food gets stuck in the holes more than previous small mesh strainers and when I go to tap it outside some particles get trapped in the holes. It's never much though and I just wash the remaining debris down the drain. Also, they drain the water as fast or faster than the previous small mesh strainers. I feel like these may be easier to clean after a fair amount of use whereas the mesh strainers really get gunked up in very little time which required a chemical and scrubbing with a stiff bristle brush. Hopefully the chrome holds up over time though I'm sure it will get scratched up as tends to happen with chrome such as my faucet.

I have been using a product that had silicon and worked well, except that it got black with schmaltz. So I was looking round and decked to try a stainless steel deal. I selected this on the basis of the review, price point and the fact I get two.These work, fit my sink and the strainer is really good. Water passes through but it has a small enough net that this will capture pretty much everything.Awesome!

These strainers are working out really well. My current house is on well/septic and I can't have a garbage disposer (big bummer!). Rinsing dishes and other food preparation was messy and I was constantly having to clean the sink stopper and drain area out. I put one of these strainers on one side of the sink and can rinse dishes and all the gunk gets caught in it since the holes are much smaller than the sink stopper. You can easily grab the strainer from the sink and tap it on the side of the garbage can to empty it. Since you get two, I can toss one in the dishwasher if it gets nasty and replace it with a clean one.

These are shiny, sturdy, and definitely met my expectations, and some. Easy to clean (especially when you wait a while to dump). Much nicer than the bargain stainers you can find at your grocery store. Arrived fast too. By spending a little more, you will get a much nicer product. Glad I did.

Great product. Stainless, polished chrome. Fits the standard drains in our kitchen sink perfectly. Edges are tapered, forcing the food bits up and over them, and won't allow them to wash underneath them. The "strainers"/drain plugs that came with the sink (that have been used since the turn of the century) either wanted to fall in (allowing the sink to fill) or would allow too much food around them. We are on a septic system, so want to keep as much big stuff out of the drain. These have holes maybe a millimeter in diameter (head of a pin size), and catch everything. Grains of rice can't go down them. Relatively easy to shake out and to clean. Good stuff.
