Kept the squirrels out of my Apple tree
This really helped to keep the squirrels out of my Apple tree. I thought the batteries would drain really quickly because it was getting set off a lot by various critters and the wind, but the batteries were still good when I took it down for the season. It got rained on a couple of times and seems to be fine. The birds didn’t seem as put off by it, but it did help keep the squirrels away.

Functions but not scary
This owl is not very big, the eyes are small but do light up. The noise it makes is audible if your real close to it. I put it in my yard to scare away some invasive jays that are destroying my yard. I had 4 jays before I put it out there, now I have 10 !!! It is not large enough or loud enough to scare them or any thing else off!!

Nice little fake owl
Decent for the price. Could be a little heavier but it works every time something crosses in front of it.

Does not work at night.
Works great during the daylight hours but has no nighttime ability to sense movement so does not alert. Was looking for it to protect the garden from deer. Well that didn't work

Not a Squirrel or Black Bird Deterrent
While this small owl is pleasant to the eyes and fun as entertainment for backyard activities, it's not an item that scares away from mangoes and avocados the squirrels and the birds. The noise it makes and the lighted eyes are totally ineffective for guarding the fruit on the trees.

Great little owl for the price
This owl is a little on the small side but it is sturdy and has good mounting brackets on the bottom. The hooting alone is definitely loud enough to scare unwanted critters away, but the eyes! They flash very big and bright red along with the hooting. Great value for the price.

Looks Good
Limited range but works well with my motion sensor animal detector. Has eliminated the rodents eating my grass seed.
