Chimney SheepT9-NEU1-MGUH Chimney Draught Excluder, Grey

Thought I’d try the chimney sheep, as we had a balloon installed but it kept deflating, despite it being new. Could feel a real draft in the lounge during this cold spell, so went for the sheep! Received it yesterday, so easy to install- took 30 seconds. Really good fit and felt the room was warmer straight away. Haven’t tried removing it yet to light the fire but I’m confident it will be easy. A little more expensive than a balloon, but a balloon is a false economy if it doesn’t work 🤷‍♀️ Highly recommend the sheep and that’s why it gets 5 stars from me!

A very useful, adaptable and effective product.

I am pleased with the fit and it works better than a balloon as I have an electric Dimplex myst log burner which does generate a little heat, not much but enough to deflate the plastic balloons. Using the chimney sheep stops anything falling down but it does not stop wind noise from the chimney cap - I can hear it just as much but certainly no chimney bits fall down so it must be doing its job up there. I had to push up a long way in my chimney but thats fine, I no longer get a down draft but it is allowing air to circulate in my room another problem with the plastic balloons which caused me to have condensation on the windows - no more with a chimney sheep - I like the fact it is a natural product - shame they have to use plastic for handle - just hope its recycled plastics.
