It’s just a case. Clever wording and poor description of the product could lead you to believe it’s a charger.

Will this stop the case from opening and the earbuds bouncing out when i drop the case?

Not shockproof as one of my biggest issues is the magnetic bit isn't very strong so if you dropped it, it could well spring open... I've not thrown it around but i don't totally trust it staying shut if i clip it on the outside of my bag... Hence i only keep it clipped to my chest or inside a bag.
